Simply put, I'm just using my pc, nothing heavy, when suddenly my monitor simply goes black, and does nothing, as in, it's like it's unplugged. Removing the power cord for a few second and then putting it back in and suddenly all led's start shining bright again.
I've tested it with other power cord on other power socket, still happens.

Does anybody have had similar problems with their monitor before? Cause the monitor is barely 1 year old ( and I've been running it on 45% of it's maximum brightness to make it's life last longer).

Thanks in advance,

Reading this makes it sound like the monitor is now working? Or once the LEDs are on do they go off again? Is it still under warranty?

Your monitor isn't affected by what you're running

I assume it has something to do with heat... When I got a new computer, the one I got had a broken fan in the graphics card, and as soon as I tried to play 3d games, the monitor went black and gave me a no input signal error. I know you are talking about a monitor, but the symptoms seem to bee similar

I had a similar issue before, mine was apparently the internal fuse, but that was an LCD [Still got two lying around], what kind of Power cabling is it using? it is an external box like a laptop or a Kettle Wire?

Make sure the plugs are not near a heat source like a radiator...

If it's out of warranty, you might be out of luck short of repairing it yourself. Flatscreens are much safer to work on yourself but you will wanna exercise caution around the power supply. Might be worth it to pay an electronics college student in beer to have him fix it up for you? That said, before you go that far you'd definitely wanna test it on another computer or device to see if it acts up the same way. Could be a GPU issue.

The problem is that if it were the GPU, the LED's which indicate that the monitor is even plugged should light up when I press the power button ( a blue led under the screen ) but not even that lights up.

It's connected with a 3pin power cable, and the power supply is inside of the screen.

And it works now, it's just that, even when idling on my pc ( so it shouldn't be my GPU getting to hot or something like that ) it just turns itself off, and only goes back on if I remove the power plug for half a minute.

Edit: After some more testing, I think I've ruled out the GPU as being the cause of the problem:
1. When hooking up a second monitor, this continues to work after the other has gone dead ( my faulty one ), even after swapping the connectors.
2. After my monitor goes dead, there's no power running trough the cable ( my dad has a small box to test for faulty cables, but you can also use it for this )

I've contacted Iiyama, and they're coming somewhere this week to swap it. If it's still going dead, I'm gonna send them my GPU, though I doubt it.

Thanks for your help guys
