I was thinking last night, that I might as well give it a go, and make them into melee weapons for you all. If you want a specific tool, just say so, ill make it.

A hammer seems like a likely weapon to find lying around a house, if you want to consider that

@eko wan kenobi

I can make a rusty pipe, but its not really a tool.

@flashing snall

I could make a chain saw, but ill have to test some thing first. Ill post again later about it.

@Gamz

I dont have a price worked out. That will come when I have the pack finished.

Now heres an image of a fire axe Ive just made. The texture is still W.I.P.

Please understand that the textures you see on my models, are only applied to show you what the finished models will be like.

Ill be posting info about the pack soon. Just basic out lines for what you will be getting. I hope to get the pack working in 25 days, thats the dead line ive set for my self.

Here is another image, this time its a sledge hammer.

@KeithC

I know what I have to do, to produce melee weapons. I just need the full version of fpsc to do so.

@Lizblizz

I am making a tool pack. I wont be making models of any thing non tool. I can make a crowbar though.

I looked on google for an industrial knife, what I found was a guillotine paper cutter. I will include the blade from the paper cutter in my pack.

I use 3d studio max. I think its by far the best, and easiest 3d modelling suite around. All the others Ive seen look to complex to work with, but then, people will probably say that about max.

Here is the crowbar, without any texture.

if wanna make melee for enemys is good too because the best ENEMY melee i saw was some idiot walking with a sword in 2 hand and shooting with a sword like it was a rifle....

so new enemy animation is needed then.

Attached is an image of the hammer.

Because Play.com are awaiting stock for fpsc, I cant do much for getting the weapons working. When I do get fpsc, ill start work on the scripts and start testing the weapons out.

@Silver Draquinsty

When I get around to reading the TOS and TOU in full detail about the fpsc models and animations, ill make new animations for the melee weapon grasp's, if iam allowed.

Here is a spade ive just made. Ill be making a hacksaw soon, along with a screw driver and a carpenters knife. Iam really only doing melee type tools. So Iam not making nail guns and such.

Doc's list:
monkey wrench
pipe
shovel
hatchet
screwdriver
axe

And for a price, I would reccomend $10, it's a reasonable price for such a great pack

@Doctor Evil

A pipe is more a piece of equipment, than a tool. I might add it if more people ask for a pipe.

--

Ill put together a page for this pack, so that you can visit it for updates and info. But ill keep posting here like I have been.

Can I ask that people read the thread title, and the posts, to find out what iam making please. When I say tools, I dont mean wooly jumpers, I mean tools. Tools as in DIY, home DIY and Garden DIY.

Ive had items listed that fall under equipment. Please only list items that are tools.

What you may do, is post on my forum, ideas you may like to have made into packs for fpsc. But right now iam making tools, and tools alone.

The wrench. This one, I dont like so much, I might end up modelling a new one, less soft looking. This depends on how the texture makes it look.

What about a small, handheld rake? Does that count as a tool?

sorry higgins for mentioning a pool que. but the trash can and cynderblock are both tools. (have you ever done masonry?)

I like the pipe wrench

I still put those things under equipment. I know you might say they help you build things, and get a job done, but iam souly looking to make tools you buy from DIY shops. But like I have said, you may post ideas on my forums (now phpbb) for other packs.

Id also like to add that ill be making new animations for these melee weapons, a big bonus for many people.

I have some news about the animations. If I want to make melee attacks for the enemies, I need to rig every character. This would be far to much work for what I had planned in the first place.

Well, don't make it possible for the enemies to pick up/use them. I mean why, when the could be armed with their standard-issue pistol, grab a hammer?

Ill only make the weapons for single player, and not for enemies.

I havent made any more models since the wrench. So if you could, please post more ideas. Ive been busy with other things.
