this looks good, the grenades are a bit on the rubbery side, i.e they bounce to much, and the pistil is a bit on the rapid fire side, but other than that it all looks good.

soul sucking devils, twisted body of the damed, slivering slim drips from every poor, sin licking at your ears, and the smell stinging your eyes, and if you don't like it, get out of my kitchen!

If the project is setup (not the source) to use 32-bit colour it'll use that first and then do your source-level check. I'd recommend you start with something universally accepted like 640x480x16 in the project settings and then do your checks.

The problem is that some computers don't allow 1280x1024 (my laptop doesn't :/). You should add an option for 1024x768, since it's a common screen resolution.

Or you could make it auto adjust to the desktop resolution, only of your hud will work with it .

Heres how:
Set Display Mode Destkop Width(), Desktop Height(), 32, 1

Or you can do what you will end up doing eventually and write up an options menu, where you can set the display mode before the program chooses one for you.

You need to lock your mouse to the same position on the screen every loop. Anyone who has multiple monitors that plays this can move the mouse off screen, so if you turn right and click to shoot it just clicks on your right monitor.

~300-350 FPS on my (1680x1050) system:

AMD Phenomâ„¢ X4 9750 Quad-Core @ 2.4 GHz . 8 GB PC2-6400 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3650 @ 512 MB . Vista Home Premium 64 Bit

one thing of note is that my walk/run movement is not smooth at all (vs mouselook, which is fluid). definitely "lurching" each step and not at all like the smooth movement in your youtube vid above. see attached vid (still running ~ 250+ FPS while recording). first ~5 seconds and then again ~10 sec mark.

also, my fire rates were quite a bit slower than your vids (maybe same timer related?)

and, finally, i think you have a typo: "RUCH" instead of "RUSH" on your title background image (bottom right).

hopefully "lurching" remedied soon as it's quite distracting. otherwise, good start!

ok thank all for your comment and your time for your replay

i have test with my laptop in vista on 1024 768 32 and the game start without any problems thus for the problem :

"Display using 16 bit is not supported by available hardware at line 175"

i dont have a solution for the moment but i will look tomorrow for that.

and yeah Virtual Nomad , in first thank to take a time for make a video , and i dont know why you have this sound problem , i have test with 5 friends and today with the laptop of my girlfriend and all work perfect

and for the fire , all my game is coded in timer based movement , thus normaly at , 80,500,30, or 1000 fps the fire will be the same , but with my test i have found a small difference and is not a big problem for fix it

thank again for the test and if you have any suggestion , i wait after you

Thank again all

why see the code? when i have start with dark basic pro , i know nothing in the 3d world coding , i have just make many programs in visual basic before , this have helped me for start on dark basic , but all peoples who want start in dbpro need to take a time and all days to try to make something , and when you know that your are ready for a big project start it , its not because i don't like shared because most of my code and programs in VB are free and with source code for explain , is not with only a source code that your will learning something , you need to understand what you write , if you dont understand that you see , it's not good , thus for the moment i don't realese any source code , but in the futur i can realese it , but if you want some example or help you can ask , if i can i will replay you

Quote: "i dont know why you have this sound problem"

i didn't have a sound problem. maybe you're referring to the sound in the attached video? the software i use (camstudio) is less than perfect and does miss some audio at times (tho it's generally pretty solid).

instead, the issue i experience is that the forward running/walking movement itself (visual) is jerky, tho regular and consistent. now that i think about it, maybe it's a "head-bob" effect? (head-bob is a feature i generally turn off in FPS games, and wasn't noted in your youtube vid). anyone else getting this? the attached vid does depict it will enough.

on the subject, i will ask if you are using the vsync flag when setting the display (ie, set display mode 800,600,32,1 )? myself (and others) sometimes experience a stutter in movement (even with timer-based routines) without vsync enabled. it's probably not the case here but worth mentioning.

i dont know why you have a problem in movement , i don't have any problems in my walk/run movement, is smooth for me , maybe a NG collision settings who don't work on all computer , i will see that.

and no i dont use the vsync flag , my display startup is :

and yeah if thenerd want to see some part of my code ,just ask , i will replay
