Up here in the north we are a bit different and start our Christmas celebration (or rather Christmas / yule hybrid) already on December 24:th, which is in less than 30 minutes by Swedish time.

Therefore, I wish you a merry christmas and glowing red, dripping noses... err... well, now that's a Swedish tradition worth taking after!

Anyway, I figured I'd share my Christmas (or rather winter; there's not that much Christmas-y about it) piece of the year with you guys.

While rather short, I find that it has a, in my oppinion, very nice surreal, peaceful feeling to it. I myself envisioned vast snowy fields, maybe a forest and a majestic temple or similar sanctuary building when writing this.
I've also really put an effort into mixing this one. Unfortunately, I've gotten sort of deaf for the particular song after days and days of tweaking the "final" details; every time I fix something, I just discover two more flaws, so maybe a fresh ear will discover even more flaws with it. I don't know, but I hope not.

Please comment on it and give me some constructive criticism if you see fit.

Oh, come on.
I know this isn't directly the busiest board, but judging by the view count and the time this post has been around, I just have to ask - are you ignoring it?

Seriously though, I put a lot of effort into the mixing of this one, some input on whether I went out to sea or not would be nice.
I remember the music board back in the days... granted, there were only about eight frequenters, but still, whenever somebody posted something it used to get some critiscism. Ah yes... (recalling fine days of old).

Just gave it a listen, and it is very serene. The vocals were nice, I was playing it loud, and they filled up my room nicely
Nice job Rudolpho!

Why, thank you mr. Snall

Yes, I was quite taken by the convincing realism the exessive reverb put to the voice (it is actually synthetic, you know!).
Nice to hear about the sound filling up the room; music is usually best enjoyed loud.

Great stuff, very Yoko Shimomura style. The voice sounds crazy real though...creepy.

With all do respect.I'm sorry for not commenting on this.I don't understand why I pass by this track but I'm really glad that I listen to it.

I truly dig this track.I presume your intention for this track was to have a effect of wide range ambient, which fills the room like a concert hall, which you did but I do find the track too far behind and maybe too much of reverb. In my opinion I would put the track a little more dry just to bring it closer to the voice and overall mix.I also would add some reverb and add more wet effect on the glock or triangle so that in stands in the mix balance because I do feel it stands out a little too much.other then that this track is great.

Feels like it belongs in a final fantasy game and it reminds me of Aeris from ff7 for some reason. The voice is really great and I also like the emotion that's expressed within it.

Still can't believe I didn't take a look but I'm glad I did
Thanks for sharing

I'm afraid this particular one is not, as I intend to use it along with some similar styled songs to make up a collection, which I'm not sure what I will do with once its done.
If you contact me with some information about your particular project that you would like to use it in, I will most likely allow it though; I'm quite a reasonable man
Just don't want it spread all over where I don't even know it is present.

@NGX: well, better late than never...
I was looking at surreal 3d art images for inspiration when writing this, most depicting vast, snowy landscapes with floating islands, valleys, and the like. So the intent of the (very) excessive reverb was to accommodate for that surreal vastness, more than mimicing a large "conventional" concert hall.
Now that you mention it, wetting up the metallic percussions would be very fitting indeed. Maybe I'll make a slightly updated version if I get the time
Oh, and thanks for the comments

I think it would sound great in an RPG game or an adventure movie Great composition.

The timpani at around 0:40 are a little out of place, i would have preferred a cymbal.
