Story:I'm John Reid, employed by SecureSafe.inc, the largest private security corporation in the universe. I've been attached to the HMS Diptera which is the leading spacecraft in interstellar cargo transport as security. I begin my third placement on the ship in 3 days as just another security guard unable to be trusted with what's been placed in classified storage again. Every time I've been posted on the Diptera a fresh batch has been sent to it's destination. Anyway, I've gotta go complete my radiation crash course. Eng of log.

Description:Whilst beginning your normal patrol route on the HMS Diptera a radiation wave hits the ship and strange things start to get uncovered... You play as John Reid, just another security guard placed on the night shift.

Played it.

I really liked this one. Your sci-fi look looks amazing in my opinion, and everything seems to have nice shaders. The gun, altho it propably isn't, it just looks so... custom...

But I did dislike the "access denied" and "access granted" sounds. They became really irritating after time. The voice acting was cool and all the other sounds too.

The first enemy (and the only one) isn't moving. It just runs in place, wich is not a good thing... obviously. But I like how you didn't overuse the enemies. I was waiting for more enemies after the first one, but was suprised there wasn't any. That kinda kept me on my toes...

And I like how you had that Heltor "easteregg" thing, but... I think it was a bit overdone. It's nice to dedicate this to him, nothing wrong in putting his name in and all that stuff, but for me, I think it was a bit "in your face". You know. You should keep the Heltor easteregg there, but make it a bit more suddle.

The loading screens looked very nice and professionally done, other than what I just said above. Main and Pause menus looked as awesome as everything else. Atleast Main Menu, I don't think I paused once during the demo... But still

the game was fun to play, altho it has some points to improve on. I'd say keep it up, I want to play the final product! Loved the voice acting, once again!

I'd give 7/10 to this one. It was truly a good game, but with couple of improvements, you have something very awesome in your hands!

Yeah I was meant to get rid of a few of them It is a bit overdone. I'll change that now

I thought I fixed that I'll be sure to try to get it working again

Yeah, I was gonna try and make up a new company but nothing sprung to mind. Should I keep the advertising at the bottom dedicated to him and change the joke part?

Thanks! The voice acting was done by a special friend of mine Does a few of the voices in Purity too

True that.

I overall thought it deserved a 9 among FPSC games for wanting me to
play more and even making me think it was a full game! I wanted MOOOORE! Its almost like a tip-off to Beyond Life, and I loved
that game dearly.

Ok,Ben.
I played trough the demo and made some note's and this review is going to be split in two. What I liked and didn't.

I liked:
-The shaders applied to segments
-Those cool and practical radio transmissions
-The voice acting was very decent
-The "access granted and denied" door greeting was kinda cool but it got annoying when you were just walking past closed doors.
-The information terminal was also a present surprise but it would be better if it asked you,if you want to see it.
-The gun shader is also something I liked, although it looks to aggressive in some instances.

I didn't like:
-The red tube in your room,IMO it should have emitted some light.
-The whole game is TOO EMPTY in a lot of places, like the warehouse.
-The soldier texture was a little goofy IMO.
-There was only one guy in the control center. Also it would be much better to see walking and talking fellow residents (play:Half Life Blue Shift)
-No "pick up" message...nuf said
-The shelf texture in the warehouse is messed up.
-The main objective isn't really clear...and how did the dogman (dogmans ?)got on the ship anyway?
-The dogman get's stuck trying to attack you.

Well this is pretty much my review you wanted.

Cheers!

I'm downloading now.

I have no complaints with Zay, but one thing I do notice about your critiques, mate, is that everyone of them has "too empty." Just thought it humorous. I'm not disagreeing or debating. Haven't played it yet.

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

I have absolutely 0 complaints with all of Zay's reviews, I asked him to be as harsh as he wanted. I like his reviews as they tell it how it is and how to be improved without seeming to obnoxious in my eyes.

the game has one bug in it in 2 places so far
in the room you start out in when the player go's near the desk
I fell though the floor into space and then died shortly after that

and it originally happened in a storage spot for weapons and ammo

so I started anther game it happened agin

I've attached my save files so other can see

a flash light would have been nice and a map of some version

other than that like all FPSC
it runs slow , my equipment is old ;oP

When I downloaded and tried to play the game; I get the following error:

"Runtime Error 1511 - Display cannot be created due to invalid function parameters at line 3285"

I also get a Direct X error message anytime I try to start up COD 2 or COD 4 now. Those games are unplayable; this happened right after trying to play this game. I've uninstalled this game; but the problem remains. This is not good...

the thing is it may not be needing sp3 to work
but video and sound drivers or if your equipments is old like mine
then that could be problem

Got it running; have to say it runs pretty terrible on my 'puter. Here's one of the issues I'm seeing with the segments.

I wouldn't worry too much; my poor comp doesn't like FPS games made with version 1.16 and previous. 1.17 and up play fine though...and I'm getting an Alienware setup real soon!

In a word, enjoyable.

It played very well on my system and I didn't notice any glitches. The mission based game play reminded me of Quake II and worked well, though the character choice for enemies seemed a little strange.

Agreed. Very well done!
