This game is no longer being made in FPSC

Developer: M3DTech

Storyline: Blackline, was a military project started in 2035.
The main idea was to find something - an object
to destroy an alien life in a galaxy found in 2033.
During the years of research the military scientists thought that a living thing would do it, and not destroy the galaxy in process.
The new project started in 2043.
With genetic manipulation, they managed to do the thing they wanted.
When it arrived at the station where it was supposed to be launched at 17:35 on August 14th 2046. They failed, the metal that was used in the armor plating was too weak,
and the experimental weapon, the creature, got loose.
Now it's year 2117 and still that thing is alive.
Still it is here to destroy the mankind.
It appears that humans, in their quest for power, destroyed themselfs..

Description:
Blackline is a future zombie shooter, that has many weapon and (in my opinion) good gameplay!

Screens are looking great but you should make them a little bigger(in my opinion)

Two things I just saw:

On the first picture the light doesnt seems like it would come from the light entity.
Also on the third picture you should make the ceiling lights dynamic so they donĀ“t have shadows fall of themselves.
To get them bright you should use illuminationent.fx

I love the concept/story. I know when you get it fleshed out it'll be great. The lighting and atmosphere looks good to. I'll be watching.

Just an opinion but I think that I would maybe make a mesh fence segment to replace the square grating (there's a free one in the TGC store by the game creators) just because it would look more "military" to me... But other thatn that nice use of stock and custom together! The screens look great too!

Here:

unfortunately some of my setting, (shadow) ignores transparency.
so the light doesn't come through...

Funny, my game was called just like yours except it was called "Darkline" great minds think alike, eh?

Back to your game.
I would say, needs more entities and detail, but the lighting and segments already create a "cluttered" feel which is good.

My plan for today: 1. Wake up. 2. Live 3. Go to sleep.

When you use that metal floor texture (the one with the tiles partially open) on the ceiling it looks ... wrong.

Other than that the shots are interesting and realistic. Oh, and I like the grate better than the fence.

i think the fence makes it look...
..i don't know, cheap?

Edit: i'll try to re-texture the grate to look like metal.

what do you like? (see attached)i like the shiny one (far left)

I also prefer the metal grate to the fence. I think the shiny one you are talking about is the best there, but see how they work ingame.

While they look really good in the first new screen, the second suggests that they are too shiny and clean for the scenes you are making. I'd darken them down a bit and give them less of a shine.

Yeah to tell you the truth the grates look better... But also darken and dirty them up a bit like butt monkey said.

I really like the claustrophobic feel you got going on this game. I can't wait to play this if you do release a final version.
The tight spaces and cool lighting technique remind me in small portion to some good AAA space games.

I think it would completely kill the mood. If you were doing a game that was meant to be loony and cartoonish...
then I would say yes. For the sake of your game however, I wouldn't do it in this case.

You know, one shot of the lightrays would have been enough to establish that feature, because it is not technically your work.
But not to come off like a downer: Your outdoor levels look actually rather good so far, much better than the interior which is, quite honest...lame.

If I where you, I would focus more on outdoor levels because you appear to have a thing for them.
You can improve your indoor levels by actually adding something other thant boxes and plain white light to them. They look surreal and don't seem like a building any san architect would come up with.

You should also add a few more details, because right now, your levels look totally unfinished. In some shots, the stock segments look misplaced. Especially in this one ..
And please...add some different boxes.

That being said, this could be something nice when its done

Oh! One more thing:

Quote: "PLEASE NOTICE that this level is still very much WORK IN PROGRESS and is not a final version"

That is a little bit like these "baby on board" bumper stickers for cars. People are not going to drive saver because you posted a sign and people are also not going to quit pointing flaws out if you state that its a work in progress. We know that, because this is the work in progress board.
If you want to get as much feedback as possible: Don't type that, because a lot of users might think that you don't want any criticism if you post sentences like this. That might seem odd to you, but we actually had some dimwits around here that only wanted nice comments in their threads. (for whatever reason).

Oh, and while I'm adding this might give you and idea for a more interesting ceiling

Edit: I totally sound like a dick in this post... don't mean to sound stuck up, I really just want to provide feedback.

Matter is energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively Theres no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and were the imagination of ourselves.

@wolf: believe me, everyone around here is happy to get a comment on his wip by you, wether if you sound like a dick or an angel

i like the lightmapping and ambient very much, nice work. i wonder why no one (especially exu^^) asked about the last picture in the first post, so i do:

where the bright light in the middle of the crossway comes from when without a lamp?

you did exactly what i asked, why should i be angry?

nothing odd here.
why would you think so?

to get this correctly:
POST WHAT YOU THINK, NO MATTER IF POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE.
i just want feedback

EDIT: for the notice i removed that text

NOTE: the level on the first screens developed a weird issue and i can't play it anymore.
for this reason it will be out of the game, unless i get it to work again. (i'll post screenshot soon)
