Two and a half years in the making, I am finally releasing the Vietnam Pack. Part One at least... The characters and weapons will come another time. I just need to get something out. It's like I'm working on Valve Time.

When I started this pack the community was a lot more active, I know a lot of people have moved onto the FPS Creator Reloaded forums. I'd love to see this pack get some more use, so if anyone wants to convert the entities for use in FPSCR, go for it. And release it. Please talk to me about it first though.

Be warned; some of these models and textures are... less than fantastic. Of course one is always their own harshed critic, I think it's plain to see that some of these models are from an earlier time, where I lacked experience.

I believe there are 102 entities in part one, as well as some grass segments. If you're interested in using this pack for a game, I would definitely recommend you combine it with some other packs. Cosmic's Community Warfare Pack is very useful.

Here are a few simple screenshots.

Jungle Temple Entities

City Entities (note: the street and sidewalk segments are not mine, and aren't included in the pack)

If anyone can make some nicer screenshots, I'd love to see.

Awesome!!!! Im gonna grab this as soon as I get back from work.

I hate to be pushy, but any ideas when the weapons and/or characters? You cant have a Vietnam game without an M16!

Thanks so much Vent!

Thank you so much Vent. These are great. Can these be used by other game communities Such as dim3 or dx studio. (Giving you full credit goes without saying.)

Awesome job.

No way, go for it! I just mentioned it in the post that I'd love to see them in Reloaded. They can be used in anything, any way you like.

Thanks everyone

Thank you Vent - I've been watching your development (self and pack) quietly from the sidelines. Well done on both - I am looking forward to playing with these and may you have a fantastic 2015.

Thanks guys

Yes the weapons will come, not sure about the characters, they are... not the greatest looking, but I'll see what I can do

Thanks Vent! I rarely comment on these forums anymore, but I know how much effort was put into this pack and it shows. I look forward to seeing what you create in the future.

Is this still your wish? I wrote a converter in java so it would be a honor for me to convert your files.

Sorry I've been busy with family things

Yes, go for it. Though I'm not so sure how they'll turn out. I'd really like to see the weapons in FPSCR, but I guess I'll have to finish them off first

Hi Vent, this indeed took you awhile. I am sure there were a lot of frustration at times. It certainly was with my RPG Mod. Congratulations on getting Part 1 finished and available. I also thank you for such a generous offer. Can't get anymore generous than that.

I see some familiar names here from a few years back. Can you believe 2015 is almost gone? I was going through all my pictures and videos from the time I was over there. I actually don't have very many because I was in sensitive work. One of the entities I see in your screen shot was a Lambretta taxi. This is a image with people in it.

When in doubt -- C4

Thank you for sharing that! I have a huge interest in firearm history, so it's very interesting to hear anecdotes first hand! Amazing footage as well.

Thank you for your comments on the pack as well (and everyone else of course)

Unfortunately I have kinda drifted away from FPS Creator in favour of Unity and never really got this finished. I still love this community though! I owe much of my interest in game design to it. If anyone wants the .obj files for the gun models I did, send me a message or reply here and I'll send them to you. They're not FPSC ready, and the animated models I cannot release as I never got permission from TGC to give them out (as they use the stock animations). I'm sure they wouldn't mind, but I still don't have permission and never got to the stage to ask them

Thanks again for commenting and sharing, I hope you're doing well
