hehe this is the only db game ive bothered to finish a level and i think ive done about 4. despite the identical landscapes for each level, the odd looking ships and the clouds which look like white chocolate buttons, its actually surprisingly fun and addictive. plus i got to use my new gamepad for the first time . maybe you should consider finding a partner to do your art while you do the coding for your next game. But still very nice... u never know, may be the only db game i play to the end.

uk.geocities.com/maniacimagine check it out. ill soon be formally opening it.

The white chocolate button as a cloud....
Well, it's a speed optimization, i've generate a cloud routine with a very intesting effect, like satellitar shots, but it grab about 30 % of program speed... i've left this routine for a simple squashed sphere.
I prefer speed instead of gfx effects.
so, the game runs correctly at 100 fps....

nice. only prob is the controls. its so hard to aim in the helicopter.
you have 2 be the same height as the enemy or u cant hit them.
also tank need 2 be speeded up

Well, try to pilot a real heli armed with a fixed gun, if you're lower or higher than your target, you can't hit it.
remember, for all people, if you like flight combat simulator, this game is for you.If you don't like flight combat simulator, it's better you don't download the game!!!!!
Thanks for the advice for the cloud, and for the tank.
This game is complete as it is, i'm intrested on your comment.

RAVEN II have something good, i've hope, but nobody report this to me.
The cloud isn't very good yes i know, but this report i can have the same from my Mother, or my dog.
Nobody is intrested to the elaborate AI of the enemies?
The Gallery images are a bad idea?
Shadow of the craft calcolated via sun direction, is bad?
Internal instruments,Radar and map, are maked bad?
Sound fx are inadeguate?
The radio-messages are a bad idea?
Campaign stile mission works bad?

man, i can see why your fustrated, you've got a great game there and only 1 or 2 people give you credit for it well in my opinion this is one of the most professional games i've seen come out of dark basic pro yet

- love the intro man, the music, splash screen, everything blended
- the selection screen, it's music and sounds etc where just right.
- the pics for story/game intro/death reminded me a lot of commandos
- the physics for the ship was pretty good too, didn't find any faults.

well as u said the games pretty much complete and it's a pretty big jump from where raven was, good work didn't really have much time to play indepth though but i added it to my dbgames collection

Hey there ermes.

first off, i love the game! ive played through 11 levels so far and its rockin.

as of now, the game is great for a db game. but to make it perfect (or close anyway), here are some things that could be improved:

*the shadows of the ships and the pics of the people when they talk in messages blink. a little weird and distracting, but o.k.

*shots don't seem to hit from a distance. i always have to get real close to hit them. might just be me though, but it seems like there is a little bug in there.

*i read in the controls section there are buttons to raise and lower the tank cannons, but i tried to do so and it didnt work... could just be my computer or something, but i think there is a bug there too

*A really easy thing to do to make the game more professional would be to have someone with english as a first language grammar check and spell check the mission briefing and storyline. your english is definetly understandable, but not perfect. (congrats for getting this far with english though, its a crazy language)

*not much of a problem at all, but the green lazers look and sound a LOT like TIE fighter lazers...

*higher detailed ground would be very nice, esp. for the tank missions. adding in some buildings and more trees would be nice too.

*the music for the menus was terriffic, and the action would be even better (i think) with in-game music as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Heh, sorry, that was a lot of stuff, but most of it was minor details. Now here are the things that i really liked about it:

*The menu music rocked. it totally set the mood, and it reminded me a lot of the Giants: Citizen Kabuto menu music.

*The gallery pictures were great, it was a little bonus feature that added another little twist to the game

*the ships were cool and VERY original, and were rendered nicely.

*the smoke particle effect behind injured ships was cool too

*the game was PLAYABLE, which is a lot more than can be said of most DB games. it was fun, and i encourage you to keep up the great work.

rock on!

hehehe...

*the shadows of the ships and the pics of the people when they talk in messages blink. a little weird and distracting, but o.k.
FLICKERING IS CAUSED SHADOWS ARE NOT GHOSTED, TRANSPARENCY IS AN OPTICAL EFFECT... RADIO FLICKERING, YEA I WANT IT.

*shots don't seem to hit from a distance. i always have to get real close to hit them. might just be me though, but it seems like there is a little bug in there.
SHOTS HAS SHORT RANGE.NO BUGS.

*i read in the controls section there are buttons to raise and lower the tank cannons, but i tried to do so and it didnt work... could just be my computer or something, but i think there is a bug there too
NO BUGS,TANK OBJECT DON'T RAISE OR LOWER CANNON, ONLY SHOTS CHANGE DIRECTION.SEE YOUR CROSSHAIR.

*A really easy thing to do to make the game more professional would be to have someone with english as a first language grammar check and spell check the mission briefing and storyline. your english is definetly understandable, but not perfect. (congrats for getting this far with english though, its a crazy language)
YEA... YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!I'M VERY BAD IN ENGLISH.HOPEFULLY, MISSIONS TEXT ARE UNDERSTANDABLE.

*not much of a problem at all, but the green lazers look and sound a LOT like TIE fighter lazers...
YES I GRABBED IT!

*higher detailed ground would be very nice, esp. for the tank missions. adding in some buildings and more trees would be nice too.
THIS WILL BE FOR THE NEXT GAME.

*the music for the menus was terriffic, and the action would be even better (i think) with in-game music as well.
YES, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT.

This version was developed with patch 3.1, no 4 or 4.1
and reach on my computer 130 fps, installing 4.1, fps go down at 105 fps.....
how many of you notice a slow down using patch 4 or 4.1 developing your programs in dbpro???
