Here is a screen shot of the GUI for the program that I just finished.
The program (ceSky.exe) is a stand alone executable file written in DarkBASIC Professional.
This tool is used to create skybank folders for use with FPS Creator.

Here is the Download ZIP = ceSky.exe + ceSky_READ_ME.txt

Here is the License ... (REVISED)

Here is the READ ME file that is included in the zip...

HAVE FUN!

Actually skies is located at fpsconline.com and yes it is free and Terry has done a great job on his version.

I am sure Conjured Entertainment sky tools works in the same way and in either case it is still a great contribution to the community and also gives all of us a choice on which gui fits us better. Great work Conjured Entertainment... Thank you...

Thanks for all of the positive feedback everyone.

I plan to put up a Buy button on the website in the next week or so for the source code.
Just check the site frequently and you'll see the buy button for the source code soon.

No thanks. I decided not to use GUI addons. (that explains my command line input on this project)
I have a lot to learn about DarkBASIC Professional, and I want to know how to do things rather than having the routine done for me.
I know that is what DLLs are for, but for basic things like handling input and creating the GUI, I'd rather have full control.
That means I need to develop my own custom routines for my GUIs rather than use someone elses.
Thanks for the offer though.

exactly how can they stop you using skies for commercial, they will have no proof that you used that product!

Yes, that's right. I am the only 12 year old that likes Star Trek! My dream is to make games, so i might as well start programming now, it's easier to learn when you are young...

Yes, it was actually created for FPSC X10.
I needed to convert my old skyboxes from their old formats to dds, so I whipped this up to make it easier.
However, you may notice in FPSC X10 that you can see the edges of your box instead of it being seemless.
This is an issue in FPSC X10 that is known (even the stock skies are not seemless in X10, look at them closely)
I think it has to do with those new shader thingies, but I don't know really.
Only Lee can figure out what is going wrong with that, but it is internal to X10 and not a problem with the skyboxes.
I say that because they appear seemless in FPSC, and only in FPSC X10 do the lines of the box become visible.
I'm sure (I hope anyway) that visible lines issue in the skyboxes will be worked out soon in one of the first few FPSC X10 updates.

I have plans to start releasing custom skyboxes for FPSC X10 as soon as that issue gets fixed.
I want to wait just incase the fix requires a change in the skyboxes.
I don't want to have to re-create them over again and double my work, so I'll wait.

I do not know but I wish they would because then we could have 2 or more and spin them for moving cloud effects.

I suggested spheres as a fix also, because if it does require extensive work to fix the lines, then they could scrap it and replace the boxes with something better.
The boxes should evolve into spheres eventually because we know the sphere is better, so why not now?
FPSC X10 deserves the best skys possible to complement the other great graphics advancements.
