TextureMax Application (for TextureMax v1.0.2.0) terminates with the following Error when inserting *.DDS Texture:

Runtime Error 5105 - Memblock position outside range at line 1811

I attempted to insert a DDS Texture from the FPSC Trial located:
C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator Demo\Files\entitybank\scifi\characters\conker_4_D2.dds

NO modifications to the texture have been made. I tried to insert other *.dds textures with no success.

No errors occured when inserting *.bmp, *.jpg, *.tga textures. However, when I attempted to insert *.png files, the file viewer failed to display files with *.png extension. I did NOT test the insertion of a *.dib texture.

Any all assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

TechLord,
TextureMax uses standard DB commands to load images. It then converts them to memblocks and uses that data for manipulation. I'll have to do some tests to see where things are actually failing. It probably isn't with the way TextureMax is doing things, it is probably more related to how DBpro can handle those types of images. If that is the case, I'm not sure I can "fix" this problem.
FYI, I have a new (and improved) TextureMax application about 90% complete. If you are ever interested in testing it out, please let me know. There would be some work required for me to get it to the point that I could give it to you though.

I truly desire DDS support. Crossing fingers.

Give it a while, these forums aren't a chat room you know.

dark coder,

I understand that. However, there hasn't been any response to my effort to assist in testing the fix for over 45 days. Would like to know something, considering I purchased this software.

TechLord,

Sorry man. I forgot about you!
I've had a crazy summer. I've had to make 3 trips to Norway (2 since our last discussion) for work. My DBpro activities have been pretty limited as of late. Thankfully, things should be settling down now.

I need to get the new TextureMax app into a condition that I can send you. I did somewhat look into the .dds issue and I don't think there is anything I can do about it. Give me some time. I'll see what I can do. I would really like to re-vamp the entire plugin sometime in the future. I've learned a lot since it was written and I could definitely improve it in many areas. I can't promise when that will happen though.

Ron

Ron, I understand, let me know when I can help you test.
