I have been working on this one for a while.
Its just a simple War game this demo has 3 lvls

Demo Link : http://hosted.filefront.com/painkiller1011/

I built the demo with FPSc V110 so if there are problems just tell me.
The Demo worked great on my pc
my PC specs:

athlon 64 3700 2.5ghz
2 gb ram
geforce 7600gt 256mb
and it takes about 250 mb space on the hard drive.
its packed with Winrar so youll need that to un-pack it

You start out in a tunnel system (which is acctully the second lvl in the game) and you work your way out.
Pics in following posts

also the main meneu music... was already changed for those who know what it is, Im just to lazy to re-build the demo lol

Give what you guys think took me about 3-4 weeks to get to this point.

Just played it, and it was very enjoyable. The loading times were shorter than Doom 3 on my PC, and the framerate was always high. The combat was very good (lol I died when one enemy popped out of a hole in lvl 3). The only real problem I had was the lack of health. The enemies seemed to always have the first shot so a few more health drops would have been nice

I'd give the game a 8.5/10

Btw was a mod involved (has to b for that framerate), Efx?

I like it, most the time they didnt fight back though, and I never got to reach the surface like in your screenshots but it was still a good and fun game, how did you get the terrain like that? Very interesting.

Nice game, 7.5 out of 10

Thanks
VP

I had used FPSc v110
no mod just regular FPSc with an update..

and the terrain is one of the model packs... I think it was model pack7 they were segments which helps the framerate and i just worked them until i liked the way it looked.. that simple.

and yes i got that to once.. were the guys just stood there like a dummy stunnded to see me. but i couldn't get it to do it again so i didn't worry about it.

glad you guys liked it..

From my experience, EFX kills framerate....

I just played through it a second time, it was really fun. A nice and short game.

The level design was nice, it felt rather large for an FPSC game, and that guard that pops up behind ones back always gets me, even though I've been past that area for like three times (got a game over on my first playthrough ).
The only crit I have is that the outdoors scenery, while very nice for being FPSC, should've had some more depth. Maybe making it just slightly bumpy, it could be possible without killing frames. Also, maybe you could put up some invisible walls so that the player can't climb and jump out of the level. Also, some varied coloring on the lights would've been nice too. There was too much plain yellow, try giving the lights less saturated colors.
Other than that, it was a fun little demo. Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanx Roger Wilco

Its not hte framerate i was worried about ( its the collision)
With FPSc its hard to get nice collision.

and were the player can walk off the side of the map, I had entities there but for some odd reason.. the diapered when I built it...
I double checked that they were there in the editor and they were.
So I have no clue why thats doing that, but yea I agree there shouldn't be a spot were the player can fall to hell and beyond..

The Lightning.. Yup.. ill work on that, I was looking for the bland under ground look, but maybe its to bland
Thanx for playing it. Im glad you enjoyed it.

and hope to hear them xyzz1233
