http://www.fpscreator.com/betafiles/FPS_Creator_V113_BETA3.zip
http://www.fpscreator.com/betafiles/FPS_Creator_V113_BETA4.zip
http://www.fpscreator.com/betafiles/FPS_Creator_V113_BETA5.zip
http://www.fpscreator.com/betafiles/FPS_Creator_V113_BETA6.zip

Here is a log of the changes for this version:

V1.1.3 BETA 6 - 18/09/08
------------------------

* Fixed bug in LOAD GAME position causing larger entity levels to crash

V1.1.3 BETA 5 - 08/09/08
------------------------

* Updated Game Creator Store to allow writes into the languagebank folder (entity LOC files)
* Updated FASTBONE.FX to support 60 bones (maximum for vertex shader)
* Also updated FPSC-GAME.EXE to restrict bones submitted to shaders to 60
* Note that models using more than 60 bones per mesh will not work!

V1.1.3 BETA 4 - 13/08/08
------------------------

* Fixed bug in muzzle flash code caused by typing out an incorrect variable during copy/paste from mod code
* Fixed bug causing GLOBAL variables to be wiped out when saved level was reloaded
* Added LOCAL VALUES from FPI scripting to SAVE/LOAD game position feature

V1.1.3 BETA 3 - 05/08/08
------------------------

* Courtesy of Airslide, a number of small feature additions:
* Added FIRERATE to the GUNSPEC.TXT parser, and reflected rate of fire in how the gun fires when set to a value other than 12 (FIRERATE=12)
* Added SHOTGUN to the GUNSPEC.TXT parser, and reflected shot gun style reloading to flagged weapons (SHOTGUN=1)
* Amended GUNSPEC for MOSSBERG and UZI to reflect above additions (shotgun reloads correctly and uzi fires quicker)

V1.1.3 BETA 2 - 25/07/08
------------------------

* Updated the GameCreatorStore DLL to solve the problem editing previews in Store Seller Mode

V1.1.3 BETA 1 - 22/07/08
------------------------

* Seperated Game Creator Store from main FPSC interface (to allow store to be updated independently of editor code)
* Added PLRSETHEALTH and PLRSUBHEALTH to set the players health, and to subtract from the players health value
* Added ADDHEALTH, SUBHEALTH and SETHEALTH to set, increase and decrease the entities health value
* Added new HEALTHPRISON.FPI script to show use of above entity health commands

Yes Nathan, we did......

The lightning speed you work on these updates with is amazing Lee! When do you plan on merging in our current mod roster so I don't have to keep choosing between all these awesome add-ons.....?

The entity health manipulation has been long anticipated and works well. Now we can steal health from the AI if we get low. Like sucking the life out of them. LOL

Thanks.

HA HA! I got the update and you didn't. Too slow, dudes.

Of course, that probably means that mine has problems and I'll have to download it again.

Or maybe, I have one of a hand full of FPSC errors that will some day be worth millions!

So does anyone else think version 1.12 was a bit pointless if it only has one feature?

If everything is sqeeky clean by the end of this version... I call for a vote of making V1.14 the official "Mod Integration Version".

Or not... whichever Lee decides.

Sorry for the missing file. We switched file servers and some of the newer files did not copy over. The V113 BETA1 is there again now Enjoy! No plans to integrate mod versions, though I am always open to be influenced by them. When we start the migration updates, you may find me very suggestable on the point of adding features that have a striking resemblance to certain high profile mod features Used with permission of course!

Hi Lee

I'm not sure at which version this bug, or unrequested feature had started, but every time I increase the "lightmapquality" variable in "setup.ini" it keeps reverting back to "10" whenever I test a map. All of my preferences are set to full lightmapping and 512x512 textures. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

You have to exit FPSC, change the settings and then fire it up again for it to work.

I still cannot connect to the store in this version. I'm administrator, have firewall off, have nothing else running, checked my computer for viruses... and it still gives me a "Failed to Send Request" Error.

Sounds sweet! But hearing about the bound box recoding, is this done dynamically or pre-loaded? Because if the engine is calculating the collision box on the fly for every frame, then it'll surely pull a few frames off, won't it?

Why not have the engine save a file that has all the collision info, that must be alot less taxing on the engine...

@Astek:

I've noticed you posting this often. In all sincerity and this is just my thought,

have you as yet emailed Rick V. about this? His email address is rick@thegamecreators.com,

or try technical support by clicking here.

You might want to try technical support first because this sounds like a technical issue. I have used them before with success and they are pretty quick to reply.

A new topic regarding the X9 upgrades:

I hope I'm not too late with this but seems Lee is still working on the updates.

Has anybody tried saving variables so that the player can reload the game and maintain the variable content? If you have and have had success please let me know. It seems that I may be the only one that thinks this is important, so maybe it doesn't really matter, afterall.

But, would like to know. I have tested before and "saving variable content" didn't seem to work. I had just remembered this and will test again.

@ little bill

The installer autodetects your fpsc installation. I guess that you would have to swap hard drives. Is your external SATA PATA,SCSI,IDE. Depending on your hard drive type, tou could switch your IDE0 (primary hard drive) with your external just for the installation. If not, then you would have to uupdate your s4mod one, then copy the files, then remod your main copy again.

@Lee - RE: The Mystery of the Missing Variable Content

Tested whether saved game variables works or not. A simple test seems to bear out the fact that it does not. Apparently, either no one else has tested this because it is not important or do not have the time, or, they have gotten it to work but have not bothered to let me know.

I sent you the test. Thanks for considering this issue.

@Community:

If anybody else would like to take a look at this, I have attached the necessary files for you to test. I contains:

1 mapbank file (fpm)
2 Scripts One for the door and one for each of the gold bars.

Picking up the 3 gold bars opens the door. Global variable 1 is used. One is added to the variable each time a gold bar is picked up. Once all three have been picked up then the door opens. However, after compiling the game, running it and picking up say only two of the bars, the player saves the game. When player loads the game and then picks up the 3rd gold bar, the door will not open. Now, the player will never get the door open because the other two gold bars are no longer available. It seems that all the variables are reset to 0.
