I'm sorry but I'm on WindowsKiller's side on this one. You would sell your software to people in this state? Adding that you're arguing over the fact that he could crack your program in merely three days almost sounded like you intended to rip people off...

I don't know, but I would've just accepted the fact that my encryption was weak, and started learning more effective ways to encrypt data.

The last thing I wanted to mention: I also think it would be a better idea to explain the encryption method even just a little. There's no way hackers can crack it with just the method. eg. XOR encryption uses a password which are hard to crack if they're chosen well. If you combine those with some sort of random+seed method it should be pretty hopeless for the hackers.
If you're not satisfied with this kind of encryption, you can even encrypt the same file a few times over, so the hacker actually has to know the number of times you encrypted it. (This could affect the speed though).

Ah well, I'll leave it at that.
