Hi guys, I've decided to model a wooden walkway
I've done 2 versions, one with railings and one without.

Model Info:
Width: 1 Segment x 1 Segment
Height: (Railings = 0.5 Segment) (No Railings: 0.1 Segment)
Texture: '.jpg' (150 x 150)

Screenshots:
The screenshost show two walkways next to each other to create longer walkways

Both from below:

I hope you all like it, knxrb

This is fantastic! Is this an entity or a segment? (I'm not at my home pc, so I can't download and tell yet).

If this is an entity, I can see many drawbridge-type uses for this...

There are several programs which will help you make segments.
I highly recommend Signs and Firma is another good program for making segments.A search of this board should lead you to Firma and you can get Signs at [href]www.fpsconline.com[/href]

Entities? Excellent! I can see drawbridges being done with these.

Great models as always. And for free no less! Keep up the good work!

It doesn't seem uv mapped, but that's okay, it still looks pretty cool.

Could you do one that drops in the middle? Like a rope bridge or something?

You mean sorta like this:

I would do that but I'm still getting the hang of that bit of AC3D
I'll have a go at making a UV map for you later

And thanks FredP for telling me about the segment apps

Actually, don't worry. I'd like to make one myself, if that's okay with you. I haven't contributed to the forum in a while.

Ok no problem, I'll just scrap what I've done already then

What else should I make now?
One with a broken plank in it?
I have no ideas

...neat!

These are really well done, and will become a must have for anyone's media library.

Thanks for sharing...

...please don't scrap the sagging rope bridge. The variety is sorely needed.

Any variation of this theme would be a huge asset...

So cool!
And free... I must be dreaming.
I can't wait to see the sagging bridge.

My blood pack will have 500 blood overlays some day! I hope...

Hi guys, I've done 2 new versions, one with broken planks and one that sorta bends/sags in the middle.

Each seperate plank on the sagging/bendy walkway is angled to follow the bend so when you walk across it's smooth and not jerky

I'm not entirely sure what people want the sagging/bendy walkway to be like so I've done one and if it's wrong then someone give me a pic of what you want

Yes, thanks K. Hope the menu creator is going well. Looking forward to more of your models.

Seth, good thought (sig) and funny at the same time.
