You'll notice I've cleaned this thread up. The idea of a models database is an excellent one, thanks Asteric, and as soon as I get the nod of the other mods then this could possibly by a sticky. Please let there be no more arguing.

Replied. Hopefully you can open it. If not, maybe we can still work together to get all of the media documented.

Here is a jet I made but its pretty plain as far as texture goes but I included the jpeg map so you can change it up if you want.

Only my 2nd model so I am still learning. Just put the file in your entity bank and away you go.

A neat idea would be to produce some sort of downloadable application database. The database could include the name of the person, the media they are giving away and perhaps a screen shot. The database could be updated periodically with downloadable updates to the DB.

I've been working on exactly that for a while. I had something going with my FPSC Free Media Browser a while back, but interest was lost in it. So now, I've decided to make it a part of GameXS. There will also hopefully be a tie in with the Molten Byte Design website so that GameXS isn't necessarily needed, but it'll have a search feature, a way to submit new media that is posted, and a categorized view, so that you can sort by segments, entities, sound packs... etc. I'm thinking of dividing that up into genres within those categories. GameXS won't be out for a good couple months, but I can try my hand at the free media browser. I did something smart for once and posted up my source code.

Yeah. GameXS is going to be pretty awesome if we can pull off all the features we have planned. I'll start working on the FPSC Free Media Browser shortly. I'm just going to make sure I have all the models in the database. If you guys want to help with the categorizing and making of the database, email me and I'll give you a section to work through. It takes about 20 minutes to do 5 pages of 100 threads each, so it's not too bad. There are 98 pages at 100 threads each, so it'll take a really long time if one person does it. But if we can get a group of people categorizing, I'll give them the criteria needed, and we could have this done pretty soon.

Quick question about Steloks two free characters, where's the download link? On that thread he gives us a link to another thread but there's also no download link on that one.

Here are some segments you can use to make terrain that will line up to make mountains or just hill sides. The screen shot only shows a few and you can change the texture to whatever you want.

There are 8 base segments, 4 hill segments, 2 inside corner hill segments to tie in the hills and a corner segment to make an outside corner. Feel free to use and abuse. No limits, just place the folder in your segments folder.
