Project: Dead Man's Cradle

Additional Info: My first project

Special about it: It's going to be scary

Story:

Addiction is an unusual thing. It can turn even the kindest of men into demons, driven by anger and aggression. There is a new drug circulating the streets, one so addictive the user will do anything to get their next hit - even murder. The increasingly widespread use of the drug is causing chaos and destruction in some of the most populated cities, including -Name not decided-.

You are Detective -Name not decided-, head of the largest military and detective unit currently combatting the new drug. Your objective - to clear the streets of this devastating substance, and making sure it is wiped clean from the Earth.

You have left your office after receiving a telephone call from an unidentified person. He claimed there were junkies in the flat above his taking the dangerous substance. Knowing the deadly effects of the drug, you have your gun loaded and in hand. Ready to take on whatever crazy, drug induced thugs are inside.
-This is where the game starts-

Screenshots look fantastic! Definitely has the mark of CoZ here - which is a wicked grim mark, and perfect horror look

Just a quick little suggestion however, see attached picture.

Mostly me actually Mgarand, I'm making the most geometry making and planning, he's just helping me out with the lighting and then adds some of his entity so it looks a bit better with the whole plan of the area.

@Mazz426: Thanks! I achived the effect by using 4 different light markers all of a slightly different shade and size. This way the colour of the light will seem darker if you stood close to the source, but gets lighter the futher away you stand. Cool huh?

@Mazz426: It's somewhat of a group effort, But because Linus has been busy etc, I have been designing over the last day or so, So the shots posted recently are from me. However, Im sure Linus will get back designing soon, which means I can take back seat...but yeah It kinda a two man project.

This game looks great! I am absolutely stunned at how great the lights are positioned. The story is great as well, however, I am confused. If you are the sole survivor of a virus that makes its victims only think of their own survival and you are thinking of your own survival, wouldn't that mean you also have the virus. Assuming you are releasing this game to users beyond this forum, I would suggest a slight change in the story. Perhaps you could be the sole survivor, but make it so that you are struggling against the virus, because you have been infected. Therefore, you can struggle for your survival, and struggle for your sanity, or at least have a unique story.

Update
The engine has now undergone quite a few changes:
*Lighting is now softer
*Bloom has been toned down
*Edges are sharper due to a custom made 'Anti-aliasing' type full screen shader
*Brown fog has been removed

Mazz426:It's most probably to do with the sharpening shader, although to be honest, I didnt even notice it until you told me.

Yeah I know I haven't posted in awhile but I'm still on post moderation and hoping it will begone soon enough.
Anyway,
The reason that CoZ is posting is because he has all the custom media that I don't have, I tell him how we build the levels then he makes them on his editor He has mods I don't have and custom entities that I don't That's the whole reason.

P.S This was posted rightly after CoZ post
