Yo!

I just wanted to inform you guys that the new Shavra Chapter is now WIP.

Check out here for the old one:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=154483&b=35

The game has some new interesting Storylinelements and it is a bit darker.

Story

After the Freedomfighter Lopreska sounded Cataclysm Alarm that opened almost all the doors in the Annihilationprison "Reaper Harbour" a Massriot Started. The Jail transformed itself into a Battlefield. Lopreska noticed only far away rilfe and explosionsounds because he dived in the Coolingwaterdevice of the generator seen in Chapter one. The water was freezing cold and strangely heavy. The flooded hallways seemed to be endless and Lopreskas lungs screamed for air. Near an exit, he couldnt resist any longer and took a breath. His lungs where filled with water and he lost consiniousness. His death sentenced body swimmed upwarts and the weight of the Stormrifle on his back turned him so he could breath as he reached the surface.

He breathed and vomited water and blood. With his last power, he got out the pool and fainted.

As he regained consiniousness, the battle was already less noisy, only few shots where still hearable. he took the rifle that saved his life from his back. All other equipment items where left behind, so he could swim (a matter of weight). As he moved deeper in the unknown complex he discovered a dark secret that vanished the last piece of mercy he had for the members of the Zeitfraction from his soul.

Plot[

because the Prisons and Annihilationjails do not have a connection to the earth-core, they gain the "Jiva" (energy) from the souls of cryogenic frozen Inmates. Humans.

Quote: " If a human dies, his soul becomes part of the Planetcore. As soon as the Planet is fullfilled with energy, the soul will be reborn as a lifeform. A holy symbiotic connection between planet and inhabitant. "

So the bastards from the time fraction do not have enough by rapeing the planet, now they start to rip out the souls of living humans. By perverted ways, they keep the bodys alive. Through the Riot, which caused already severe system damage, some of the bodys are already awakened...at least whats left...these things, (they aren`t humand anymore) started to hunt for Lopreska.Madness is all thats still left for them. Madness and a hunger on what they took them, only a tiny part is still left in them... Souls.

Lopreska can`t leave this place without destroying this insanity...

Great Wolf. I've yet to finish chapter 1, but I got pretty close. Check out my review I just posted. Hopefully the save glitch will be fixed for this one.

Quote: "- Lightmappingerrors"

Should we be happy about errors?

[quote- Loads of new tasks and no "hardcore climbinparty" anymore.[/quote]

This either means the difficulty curb is lessened, or we don't have to jump on a sloped bar anymore. Either way, YAY!

Good luck, the screens look great.

And bu the game in english, you mean that all the loading screens are english? They don't talk english? Maby it's just me, but I liked it more in german.

Awwwww, not another one! If you keep making games like this, then the rest of us might as well just give up...

What can I say, to be honest, it's beautiful, like the rest of your work...

If I was ever given the opportunity to remove all the bad from the world, I wouldn't, because for there to be heroism, compassion and all that is good, there must also be all that is bad.

@Coach Shogun: Not at all, but its in the game, so I list it...I know...my humour...

Well, about the difficulty... your no longer in the default prison area, your in the cryo area where you`ll fight the "Inmates" (a mix of Ghost, Zombie and Human), some Security Bots (the function as boss enemies) and only rarely soldiers. The game is different. People who played Doom 3 or similar games won`t be surprised often. People who haven`t will be scared ( I hope )

@Ekipshi: Great to hear! You may ask him about a few tunes for a forum release... we need some music here I think.

@Black ProFductions: Great to hear!

@djmaster: I need water in this episode, but I keep an eye on the framerate this time. I have 40 - 45 frames and not 20 -25 frames as last time. I think thats a good effort.

@Metal Devil: Speech is still in German. maybe I also sync the maincharacter on this one... but I`ll see.

@CoffeeGrunt: Haha I`ll keep em coming to doom you all

Just kidding ^_^ Thanks for the feedback

Well guys, I just wanted to show some more l`ill images:

As you can see, I use loads of the standart Scifi Textures on this. They are great! A shame I haven`t noticed them earlier...

I also wanted to tell you guys that this episode will have 5 or 6 Level. I really like the concept

Comments are very welcome

5 to 6 levels? You'd better get crackin' on that save glitch
No really, nice screenshots!

No one appreciates the stock textures, because of all the custom media they are "uncool"

Anyways, keep us updated!
As for music, he's mainly working on music for Equinox (below )
So the music is mainly very ethereal, but if you really want im sure we can arrange something

@Wolf: I don't really play those games that much. Other than F.E.A.R.

The screens look great. I don't like how in screen #1 the wall is twice as thick on the top half though, but it's alright I guess.

@Ekipshi: Oh Thanks, but I have really enough music, I thought for the board or something, however, this time you`ll have lifes. I use the same EFX mod Version as last time (and FOR the last time, after that I`ll check the newer update and if it still has this issue I`ll take a look at the other mods available)

@NAACP Got Me: Ha! Thanks mate

@Coach Shogun: Ha, then I hope I`ll surprise you

BTW, that glitch is already fixed

News

I made a large map with loads of Cryotubes and stuff that should be scary... it was too generic for me and it wasn`t scary at all so I deletet and restartet it. I`ll guess I get it done after the week end (BTW: Week End...yeeaah! )

Anyway, here are some images for ya all:

Just a random shot of a random hallway useing default scifi Textures and Orange Lightmapping to underline the rustyness.

A liftarrival room with some more devices and other machines.

A look at a CryoInmate by useing a lift.

I don`t know what this is yet, I tend to some Filtermachines for feeding the CryoInmates with their own deads and dirt...some recycle thingies... maybe... well, all I really know till now is that it looks kewl

Another awesome rilfe out of the feather of Black ProFductions.

BTW, I won`t show you an enemy this time, (I think, maybe I show one or two later) I want to suprise you guys

I like all of the screen shots Wolf. My only problem (maybe I'm being too picky) is that the body in screen #3 has an out-of-place texture. Everything else has nice, crisp textures, but its appears very blurry.

Offtopic: Just wondering, do you actually know english or do you use an online translator? Simply out of curiosity.

Hey Guys!

These Screens aren`t out of this Chapter. They are from the Remake of the first Chapter in the Showcase Section. I will release it really soon, but please leave a few comments about them:

(FPSC 1.15 using Phenix Mod)

Oh my god...that doesn't even look like FPS Creator, you're doing a brilliant job on this. It looks stunningly beautiful, and are you still using that unique mod of yours? But, man the detail and the textures and the way the environment flows just does not at all resemble anything remotely like FPSC. It almost is reminiscent of Doom 3, with a gritty and dark atmosphere that mirrors Dead Space a little - and then the best part of your environments, the originality you portray with a futuristic, gothic tone we hardly see in the sci-fi genre. It's an art bro, and you've mastered it for sure.

Now if you're really really looking for criticism, here's all I could dig up - and this was after seriously analyzing those shots closely. First, it somewhat looks like the red flare in the fourth shot, is just a smidge too far to the left of the holder on the wall, if you're looking at it this way. However, it could just be the angle of the shot too. Also, the second shot, with that wicked cool looking energy source particle thingy (decal I'm assuming?), well it's orange and yet it's emitting a purple light in the room. Perhaps the look you were going for, but it just struck me as questionable is all.

Honestly though, it's a praise worthy job my friend. Your skills just keep getting better and better the more you show them off. Keep it up bro, I'm excited to play a demo

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Oh, my... Your sense of a good environment is very nice! I also love your lighting. Why aren't you BOTB?

But anyways, I have some advice to make your lighting even better It's a technique Valve used for a bunch of their games. It's not all about good shadows. You have to place a light in an area where you want the player to notice, check out, or go to. For instance, having to find some sort of key in a faroff, cramped space the player wouldn't usually notice. Another technique is to place entities and lights accordingly so that when the player looks towards the light at the entity that the light is around, they can notice whatever the developer wants them too as well, and gives them a feeling of, "Oh, cool! I'm actually supposed to find that, instead of stumbling upon it after searching for so long!". But your lighting is so good, I barely wanted to say that

Cheers
