Long time since I last touched DBP or posted to the forums. I started work last night on my competition entry.

The game I'm working on is a computerised version Vector Rally, which is a game played with pen and paper, until now

In the early hours of this morning I completed a prototype which I'll attach to this post. At the moment I'm working on 3D graphics to replace the ASCII used in the prototype.

Interesting read. I had never heard of that game before.

This should be very interesting.

Interesting concept! It might need a little more in the form of instructions though as it seems quite complicated.

Are those the final graphics?

Good luck in the comp!

Thx for the comments so far.

baxslash: I'll be adding instructions or tutorial levels towards the finishing touches of the game. And hopefully the graphics will be nicer than in the prototype, yes

I'm currently experimenting with the 3D look of the game, with a new prototype due to upload tonight/early hours of tomorrow.

I'm curious of what this game will become! It sounds rather cool, but a bit complicated to play?
However, complicated isn't a bad thing, as long as it keeps the player motivated and eager to play, right? Good luck with it.

OK so I haven't uploaded the new prototype it yet I've been distracted with the 7-hour StarCraft 2 demo and got stuck with a technical problem with my code which took longer than expected. It's all fixed now, I've essentially got a 3d version of the game working, but I still wont upload it as it literally is just the 2d version but with 3d graphics and a few modifications.

With basic gameplay sorted, now it'a time to move onto graphics and beautification so I can actually put some descent screenshots up

but for now my eyes are burning from looking at the monitor all day (im literally typing with my eyes shut tight here) so goodnight!
