@Nickydude :- at the moment you have to use vishnu lock or vishnu packer as they dont work together.

Vishnu Lock is working sweet and really easy to use too.

It's a simple 1-2-3 program (as simple to use as Vishnu Packer) and serial codes creation is excellent. All serials are created for you and placed in a text file one per line, so you can easily load into a database type system for auto allocation to your games, as they are distributed.

Serial length and format is all customisable so you can have short or really long ones etc, as well as things like xxx-xxx-xxx or xxxxx-xxx-xxxxx-xxx etc etc.

I have been testing it and it all works great. Launch the game file that V-Lock creates and it asks for a serial number, enter your number and it unpacks ready to play

It's got the nice solid, tidy look and feel of Vishnu Packer and just as fast in action

A very useful addition to the Vishnu family, if I do say so myself. Using this app with Vishnu Packer gives us exactly what we need for our commercial distributions. The ability to pack any type of game to apply serial keys is a great bonus.

Excellent work s4real. We're happy to see you going full steam on these products.

May be it's me, but couldn't you create a passworded zip file that does almost the same thing?

Sure if you either want everyone to have the exact same password, so if you have to ban serials you ban everyone, or have to manually type in a different password for every person you supply the zip to.

With V-Lock, you generate all your serials, then simple automate the supply of said serials as and when the media is distributed.

Depends if you want multi keys or not plus would you think it looks better to have a product key than a zip folder with a password.

You don't see TGC products released in a zip file with passwords you get a nice Product key for your purchase.

This application is more for those that have a package to be distributed to multiple users and want to supply each user with their own product key. Another use we found was by using this application, we don't have to try and generate a password, as this app does it quite effectively.

Creating a zip file with one password is okay if you're not worried about keeping track of who has the package.

To each their own.

Very interesting s4.

I apreciate the effort put into this tool,however I have a small suggestion.

To write the serial every time you want to run the game would be a bit of a turn-off for some people.

Maybe add a function where it takes the account name (os user) and store as verified for this particular user and also the current date.So say if there is a time difference of 1 month or more between the 2 times the program has been ran , then you would be required to enter the key again?

Just a thought .

User only has to enter the serial once. The only time they will have to put it in again is if they uninstall/delete the distributed application and reinstall it later on.

I've messaged KeithC about it to see if we can get it in there, since we chat daily.

**ADDITIONAL**

s4real, I've asked KeithC the possibility of getting both Vishnu Lock and Packager added to the 3rd Party Tool listing. Since he and I chat on a daily basis, it was easy for me to drop it to him. Also, thanks to your permission, we've added these to RPG Mod's distribution to help get it out there too.

Vishnu Packer and lock are great, I've just used them to pack then lock a bonus multiplayer level I'll be distributing with my Seclusion Episode 1 game when it's completed.
