Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone would like to donate their FPSC game to a charitable cause. What I mean is if anyone would allow me and a group of my friends to sell some FPSC games for a school company, where all profits go towards charities (after manufacturing costs are covered).

I really hope that there are people out their who would donate their game to this cause, I would like to make a special request to any BOTB games that would be able to be donated to this cause.

I'd like to hold this open to as many game creators as possible, as only one game can be chosen in the end. I'll add a list of names of the author and the name of the game to the bottom of this thread.

Games Donated:

T. Greep & Co. by JRH
Lost Contact by defiler
Ganoid Harbor by AbdulAhad
Legacy Warfare 2 by Leongamerz

Please donate your game!

when I get my computer back, if windows 7 doesn't hog too much of my memory, trash my FPSC performance, and make me give up on life in general, I'll try to throw something together

You kidding ? W7 is at least 5x faster then Windows XP and vista put together (I've tried it with 2 PC's My one and this really bad spare PC I have)

I can always see if I can put something together though, I might just get bored in the proccess though (Like i have in the past), Will see how far I get though

If I still had my game Lost Treasures I would submit it. But the harddisk crashed and no one seem to have a copy on their computer

(Edited out), i will donate Lost Contact once i finish it (which should be in a couple weeks if i pull my stuff together.

All i want is a fraction of the sales if it even generates anything, but am i still allowed to sell it on steam if it does get accepted?

edit: my bad JRH, good to see someone else is also donating their game.

Question: How is this going to work out, i thought FPSC built games will not work if you put it on a disk. Could be wrong?

Thanks guys. I'm also workin on a game for this, but your games will be put through a series of tests and the best ones will be chosen to then be made as games.

I would love to donate a small 3 level game! By the way it was made just in a few hours, not counting breaks in between.

Once I have it built I'll send it over. Its called Ganoid Harbor.

This sounds like a really thoughtful idea,
I'm glad to see that your willing to put together something
so unique like this.

This really inspires me to do that same.

I think I will actually try and make something to add to that list.

Tips To Help The Fundraiser
- Think of what the kids in the school would want to play
- Give your a game a story line, almost like a plot line for a book.
- Make your game challenging so it doesn't just take 10 minutes to beat it.

Ok,
Well I'm just updating my Computer so
I can install c# and visual basic that way
I can make a loader for my game.

I will edit this post and add my game download.

One Questions: Will you be putting the games on CD/DVD's?

Here's a video of the intro of my game, still have to add more parts, hud and menu stuff.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1KduTbawLc

When do the videos need to be in by?
It might take awhile because I want the game to be
really good so you can sell it for a greater price.

Right now I'd say it's worth 5$. I still have lots to go however.
I don't think there is a due date because it's for charity and charity never stops.

When is this event going to end because I don't want to be rushed or anything.

Plus,
I think it should be until whatever time is nessesary because charity never stops.

Feel free to use this one:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=174922&b=35

Only catch is that you have to include all the included files.

A copy of the final thing would be cool too. But seeing as its for charity not compulsory.

Question: What target audience are the games going to be played by?

Like kids, teenagers, just wondering, so i don't make something so scary they have, idk bad dreams?

There is no specified target audience. The games will be sold in various places and therefore if we think you have chosen a good market to be your target audience, then that will factor in on the games we choose to use in the end.

Ideally in a month or so's time. The sooner the better as we would love to begin selling the games in the rush before Christmas. Obviously if its impossible to do it before then dont rush and we may (if Christmas sales are very good) release another game later next year.

Thanks, will email you about games and other ideas.

Any other game designers up for this? We would be able to give you a share of the game (£1 per copy would be the normal) if you really needed some payback through this (other then helping charities).

@ultraplex

We will be donating the money to Oxfam and Cancer Research. If the author of the game has a specific request we can donate some money there as well.

@Leongamerz

Sorry, never been this busy before. I fear I have taken on too much at the start of this year. I'll review when I can.

@syko games

Thanks for the game.
