FPSC Classic Scripts / Where to learn scripting at?

Hello, I am one-hundred percent new to scripting, and I would like to know where I can start learning about it. I need basics at first, then enough so that I can learn how to make scripts without having to watch a tutorial.

So, my question stands: Where should I go first?

Give a man a fish, and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, and watch him steal your dinner away.

Start with the docs I've attached to this post. There are two pdf files- one called AI scripting, one called FPI Scripting language. Both are very helpful in learning the scripting side.

Second, play around with some of the media, such as a remote switch, door, etc. View the script assigned to these and see exactly how they work. Make copies of them to test what you have learned. Eventually, you will get a better understanding. If you get stuck, then come here and ask for help. Make sure you post your code so we can see what you are doing and we can "help" direct you in correcting any errors.

This is how some of us learn to script. It may seem intimidating at first, but once you practice and learn, it becomes second nature.

Also, FPI Editpad has a good intro to the FPSC scripting language.
