For now I do have the required screenshots.

the sci fi feel is so apparent, it simply oozes atmosphere. it genuinely looks like a genuine, living, breathing world.

Very nice looking indeed, for some reason it reminds me a little of the Nar Shaddar levels in Star Wars Jedi Knight, and that can only be a good thing in my book!

Looks awesome. I agree, it reminds me of Nar Shaddaa from KotOR. It looks lively and colourful, while still feeling cold.

This is one of my favorite styles of sci-fi.

I like your clean style. We have seen so many gritty sci-fi games here, so this is like a breath of fresh air. But I'm not blaming anyone, that's what I'm doing too

And glad to see this back again! Will we be seeing the Unforgotten (or what was it, there is so many titles with "un" in the start, so I mess the titles up ).
Ah! The Unexplained it was!

LOOKS AWESOME !
Keep it up !

For some reason, it reminds me System Shock !

My eagle eyes see clan and glyph symbols from Soul Reaver on the second screencap ...

From left to right:
Dumahim symbol
Rahabim symbol
Turelim symbol

At the center:
Sunlight Glyph

Other screens :
Others LOKSR symbols that I can't see correctly.

I think you must remove them.

Please apologize my bad english, I'm French.

Thanks for the support everyone

On to business, I am looking for assistance in some areas, especially voice acting for major/minor roles. If you are interested, E-Mail me. (E-mailed you back PWP)

DO NOT POST ABOUT IT HERE.
I would rather not have this locked for becoming a team request thread. Rather, keeping the purpose of showcasing the current completed work. Thank you.

On the side, anyone know of any decent space station/center models?

In addition, are there any remaining links to WizardofID's stock upgrade? I saw what happened with him while I was gone, I always appreciated his creative genius.
----------------------------------------------

Quote: "Will we be seeing the Unforgotten/Unexplained?"

Great to hear from you again MD
I can't say for sure, It's crossed my mind and I hate leaving loose ends around, but I can't say yes and give false hope just yet.

Quote: "If it had escalators, my wife would surely shop there. I think she has a Kappels card."

Never fail to bring the humor do you? Good to see you again

Quote: "My eagle eyes see clan and glyph symbols from Soul Reaver on the second screencap ..."

I investigated those symbols you stated and I believe you are correct. If a mod could perhaps fill me in on this sort of situation?
(Are they safe in a non-commercial title with appropriate credit given where due?)

If not I will make amends to each sign, hopefully without a copy-written logo.

On the side, this Soul Reaver game looks intriguing, I may have to give it a go some time.

----------------------------------------

Again thanks for your support everyone, glad to see there may be interest for this project after all.

Cheers!

Here is the first upgrade.
https://forumfiles.thegamecreators.com/download/1752078

As far as everything else that he did you kinda have to go through each of his post and download them. I or you can ask the wiz for something particular, but the last time I spoke to him he was having trouble with getting online.

I hope this helps some. I love the clean look you have going here. I look forward to seeing more.

There was still a link on the boards? I thought he took them down? In any case, thanks for the link, this is exactly what I was looking for.

----------------------------------------
EDIT: I found the culprit, I remembered that I had updated AVAST to the new version right after I had attempted this. On a hunch, I reverted it back to its previous state, and the issue has cleared and running happily on 1.18 beta 5. Not exactly sure why AVAST would affect the program like so. Sorry for the false alarm.

In case you're confused the problem i'm referring to is below still if any of you guys start having the same issue perhaps

----------------------------------------------------------------

On the (frustrating) side.

FPSC is once again showing me why I stopped bothering with it a while back. Not even the dignity of giving the same error as before, but an entirely new problem.

(I seem to have this magnet for FPSC bugs)

After downloading this... http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=97574&b=24

After trying to place it in the editor, it gave the typical invalid parameter error I've seen before.

On trying to re-run FPSC, it tells me this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
FPSC-MapEditor.exe - Application Error
-------------------------------------------------------------------

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I've cleared the registry of anything FPSC, uninstalled and reinstalled a fresh copy. It runs fine with vanilla V1.0

The moment i update to ANY new version (1.15,16,17,18) It gives the same error.

It's isolated to both Mapeditor.exe and FPSCgame.exe

The rest of the applications within work fine Screens, interface, this, GUIx9 thing.

Any thoughts?
Still looking into a solution, and hope I can get this little nuisance out of the way.

I will continue to work on the content that does not require the engine for the time being

Thanks for listening.
Cheers!

Shame you're having problems, I hope this doesn't have too great an impact on the game's development, as this is one of the few WIPs I'm genuinely interested in. Good luck getting it sorted...

Looking very nice bro, I too, would like to see this progress further. You'll have a lot more stuff to play around with when the "Sci-fi Mega pack part 4" comes out this year.

All my best, Cosmic.

Now is the time, for all good things to pass. And don't it figure, My toilets' broke.

Oh man, I just played through the demo for the original Equinox (For nostalgic purposes, it was my first project after all ) Let's just say, a lot has changed since then.
----------------------------------------

In other news, I have a couple new (heavy) WIP screens of work on the 3rd (and final) level of ER: Discovery.

----------------------------------------------

These also showcase the rather obnoxious dynamic entity chromatophobia. (After a certain number of dynamic entities, any more placed stay completely BLACK ) You probably may have noticed that on the first set of screens.

Anyone else run into this issue?

Very nice screens! But I do see the black plants... I have the same problem with some of my dynamic entities. My switches and keys never light up, they're always black.

Ekipshi, that looks great! I glad to see you are still pushing forward. Reminds me of kotor. If that is something you were going for I made a bench based on that in one of my packs. I believe it is the one with a large tunnel and missiles.

For the black entities, try to use fastbone.fx. If that doesn't work, what I have found it to import the model into milkshape and delete the the material and assign a new. Sometimes I found that if the model is made in 3ds has a shader used makes for a dark entity. I know in milkshape the diffuse has a black color, I change it to white and it seems to work.

But sometimes you can just change it from static to dynamic and get the same result.

Hope this helps you some.

Using shaders or placing dynamic lights might help

excellent work here! Totally awesome architecture dude!

This is rather obnoxious. I still can not figure out why these dynamic entities begin to lose their lighting.
---------------------------------------------------------
Quote: "try to use fastbone.fx"

That made them completely invisible.

Quote: " import the model into milkshape and delete the the material and assign a new."

That didn't seem to help

Quote: "But sometimes you can just change it from static to dynamic and get the same result."

That DID work on Wolf's plants there, however, they ran into the same dynamic entity issue with losing lighting/texture(?) after placing a few.

Quote: "Using shaders or placing dynamic lights might help"

Dynamic lights sounded like a good idea, unfortunately, that didn't work either. Most of the dynamic entities used have shaders.
--------------------------------------------

I may just have to disable shaders for the time being, I hate doing that, but if it means I don't run into these "shadow" objects, then so be it.

I wonder what changed from 1.16 to 1.17/18 that's so drastic as to cause these sort of issues
---------------------------------------------
On the Side, I am still looking for voice actors, if you think you might be interested, send an E-Mail my way

---------------
Wish you guys all the best!
Cheers!
