Hi!

I announced this a few months ago and few of you might remember it. My first Segment Pack for sale

This pack contains a total of 46 Segments. (In case you buy it, you might note that it contains 48 segments...this is because it includes the sample segments aswell which can be downloaded here)

All of these segments have specular and normalmaps which work with
Bond1's free Shader (not included, must be downloaded separately)

The pack is rather large. If you bought it and any of the segments does not show up correctly, you can post here and you will receive a patch for this issue. (Just in case)

The maintheme of this pack is Grunge/Postapocalyptic/Derelict. I'll see how this sells and maybe I come up with new packs soon. I wouldn't bet on it...adding shader maps to these is boring as breakfast television.

Cost: 2.99$

The following screenshots show the segments in action. None of these images has been altered in anyway or photoshopped. My Shader has tweaked values which can be edited via editor. (in case you not that the effects appear stronger in your FPSC Installment).
These shots use postbloom postprocessing.

The weapon is not included (of course!)

Sorry wolf, but i dont really like them
There are allot of ''hot spots'' (ye we call it that in the game industry lol) you can see allot of same stuff, like the damage and dirt on the walls, its repeating whole the time.

I see your using allot of cgtextures, no problem with that, but the normal map on some of them is a bit intense. If you lower the spec map it will look more realistic.

this is just my opinion and crits

added screen to show the hotspots

Buy them anyway!

I'm kidding! Thats okay! ...yes, it has no variations of the single segments. (therefore a total of 46 segments.) The "hot spots" aren't really annoying me. Thanks for your opinion though.

Thats a no... a lot of them use almost black specular textures. It are the shader settings that make them look like this. Its the same one I use in relict. It might not have the best settings for grunge walls.

well I don't get bothered by those 'hot spots' because it looks like the segments are for use in very low light buildings/asylums

I simply love the texture artwork you created for these!

But, I'm not a huge fan of the extremely exaggerated normal maps which make the segments look like rubber instead of the stone and metal that they're supposed to look like.

The "hot spots don't exactly bother me, though do consider using only one repetition per segment as opposed to the two you are using for the texture mgarand pointed out.

Now, even though I have criticized your work a good deal, I still recognize this pack as a pack worth buying.

Cheers!

Appropriate considering the setting for your commercial game

Although I won't be buying it myself, I must say you really have outdone yourself with the sheer amount of variety included with this pack. Well done.

Looks awsome. It looks like 2.99 is way to low for the quality of those segments!

Edit i just purchased them but how do i get them, will you email them to me or what?

Wolf.

I've downloaded both of your other free segment packs and I cant get any of them to work. I also cant get doomsters segments to work.
Is it something to do with the shaders?

I am keen to buy this pack but I want to get the others working so I don't buy this then cant use it

No, these pack do not use any shaders. You just have to copy them in the exact same place as shown in the archive you downloaded. Do not copy them anywhere else.

Hi Wolf,
Are any of your segments -DUNGEON BRICK WALL style, the screenshots I see are more APOCOLYPTIC aftermath than Medievil Dungeon but you may have a couple in the pack?

Thanks

No, none in this pack would suit a medieval setting.
You can download this pack though
