Hello Community
I've been working on an Armor system for a while now . I've achieved a satisfying results until now . However I have a major problem is that the "$ARM" variable cannot be used to set another variable , meaning that this command :
Quote: "setvar=Armor $ARM"
always returns a value of 0 for some reason . I've been able to figure out a workaround though , but the script became useless for armed NPCs and only works with Enemies who have "plraddhealth=x" in their script .
If anyone can help me to solve it then it's appreciated . I will be releasing the script a few hours from now .

Features :

- Armor Bar
- Melee NPCs support
- Armed NPCs support
- Armor Pickup
- Change post effects on Armor destroy

that looks very cool

It is better to stay silent and be thought a fool then to speak up and remove all doubt.

the $arm-problem was told to scene commander, i think he will change settings for this var latest in v120... hope so.

maybe you can post this link into v120beta-thread so he can use it as example.

Thanks . I will upload the pack along with a tutorial soon .

Don't think so . if he already knows about it then I don't think I will add anything new . once it gets fixed the script will be fully functional with less editing required , that's why I'm hesitating about releasing it now .

you still have to wait until next beta of v120 or final v120 is published. as written above this doesnt work before the code is edited.

quote scene commander:
Quote: "I'm looking at all of the variable short cuts, so I'll be reviewing the $ARM variable at the same time."

Thanks Maho
Maybe I should've waited till the new BETA to make the post but It's done and the thread is here . without that little fix , the script will need a seriously violent editing (no kidding here) to many , many scripts to get to work . that would make it pretty much useless IMO . Once the next BETA is released I'll release the script pack and I think you'll like it

Just to let you know I've fixed this variable reference issue for the next beta (It was a stupid cut and paste error that I'm too embarrassed to talk about ).
