Since AppGameKit doesn't have (yet) commands that could allow access to pixels or color values of a pixel, I was experimenting with the various UV commands in order to create a "pixelated screen" effect.
The results of a strange test I made, are presented in the attached code. I have only tested it in Windows, since I don't have any developer account for any mobile device yet. I would be truly thankful if someone could test the code in an actual device and tell us how it fares speed wise.
The (unfortunate but necessary for it to work) disadvantages of this effect is that it uses A LOT of sprites and it can be applied to only one image -although none can stop us from using it in multiple layers, one effect per layer, combine it with alpha levels and so on. But since it isn't bad as it is, I would like to share it with other users. Please feel free to use this code if you like it.
By the way, the image belongs to NASA, but they don't mind using their images as long as there is a reference somewhere -something which I do here and inside the code. Finally, you may use 7zip to unpack the code.
