Hi all, I have received quite a few model request for one model, which is the slenderman model. I have been sick with the flu this week and I don't have alot of patience for animating right now, but I wanted to show off the model.

He is now rigged and fully textured. I will try to get it done by next week sometime. He will have only basic animations, walk, idle, swiping, a scream animation and two death animations.

He was an alien that I was scuplting for another project, but he seemed to have another personality that was not alien. I gave him a basic shape in blender, nothing to great and did the sculpt. The high poly model was about 50,000 and the low is about a 1000 to 1400. Again not as great as Bond's but I wasn't trying. To be honest I was just making doodles.

Yes I am giving this away for free. Just give sometime to finish it.It won't be that long. Enjoy the screenies for now.

Here is the high res:

Here is the low poly in a beautyshot:

Yes. the low poly model has more detail in the face than it does every where else. When I looked at bond's slender it almost looked like it was lost and I wanted a more agressive look even though the myth states that he was not aggressive in anyway. I just had that what if thought. However like I said before he was first an alien turned slender. The head was the first thing I made and then the body was quickly made. Not exactly good workflow.

Here is the wire frame of both high and low poly. Enjoy!

Just to let you all know that I feel I can animate this today maybe this evening release him. Then I can finish Terry's model.

Starmind, I know this is terrible to complain about because you have given so much away for free but this model is very special.

I'm having some trouble exporting it for use in .FBX format.

It does not import correctly into U3D and the vertexes come out reversed with the skeleton upside down. I can only import it into FRAGMOTION but this is one of the first models I have encountered that I could not export correctly to .FBX from this program.

Is it possible to normalize some of these glitches so that I can get this into .FBX? I am working on a Survival Horror game for IPhone and I was so excited when I saw this model and realized I could include Slenderman in my lineup of weird creatures. I have seen previous Slenderman models that just did not have "it" and were not scary compared to your take on this meme. I have spent a lot of money on assets and have yet to find a paid model of this calibre. It is beautiful in FRAGMOTION, almost graceful. I just would like to get it into a format I can import into the Unity 3D Engine.

Torrey "Heltor" Roberts was a funny, generous guy who did interesting work with 3D modeling and made the FPSC forum a particularly nice place to visit. He will be missed.

Ok here you go. It works in unity 3.5 and 4 as that is what I use for my android games. You will need to seperate the animations like so.

For those that want ragdoll attached is a new x file for that purpose. Be sure that your fpi has fixnewy = 180 or the mesh will flip. Enjoy!

Thanks so much, Starmind.

I have done a little work for my IPhone/Mobile game in Unity, "Containment Zone."

I have been using the Terrain4Mobile Black Edition. I was originally doing a survival horror game and I was frustrated so badly when my Unity Terrain ran like a dog once it was on my IPhone 3GS. Depressing and I could not see a way to get decent terrain on my old dinosaur 3GS. I gave up on it for a while until I got T4M. Absolutely awesome. I got a weird spooky forest going with full terrain with low poly trees, shrubs, rocks ... lightmapping, night skybox and then added fog. Looks so good.

My ambition like so many other people was to do something along the lines of SLENDER except incorporate my "Containment Facility" universe.

There are a lot of clones of SLENDER on the App Store and they are nearly all crap. Terrible graphics, no real gameplay, no sound, laggy, no real atmosphere. They all seem to use the same Slenderman model and it looks like an unemployed butler made out of marshmallow creme. No pop. Just not that scary.

I can't model like you and the other guys can on here. Anything beyond simple architecture in Sketchup and the backfaces stripped off eludes me. Most of you are as good or better than anybody who offers paid content on the Unity Store.

So I was thinking, can't take "CONTAINMENT ZONE" any further until I work out the primary antagonist if it isn't going to be Slender then I will have to peer through my vast library of paid assets and find a really scary low poly creature to be the player's foil.

Just happened to check here on FPS Models forum and saw your model and I agree with your assessment 100%. That's what Slenderman should look like. That sound effect you included - perfect! That's what he should sound like when he sees you.

I am really grateful for this model and I will post an update to this thread when I have some screenshots from CONTAINMENT ZONE to show up. Thanks to you and all the other really talented people who volunteer their excellent commercial grade work for free up here, you are just plain generous with your time. I'd offer you a free copy of the game if you are interested, Starmind.

Quote: "UPDATE : Got him successfully imported, animated and shaded tonight in Unity. I used bumped specular with a bluish tinge, added a glow shader by modifying the alpha channel of the mask you included and made him roughly twice the heighth of a human being in scale. When I hit him with the real-time flashlight standing in a very dark field I just about soiled myself. Now that is what Slenderman would look like. Not a butler with pantyhose pulled over his head. My game is already looking far better than any of the SLENDER clones on the App Store. In addition to Slenderman I already had a series of bizarre otherworldly creatures crawling around the CONTAINMENT ZONE but he is really the king now that I can put him in the game. I have been filled with renewed vigor by your free model, Starmind and I want to thank you again. I have recovered my faith in my concept and I am convinced it is worth working on."

Glad to hear! Now show some screens of him in action. It's nice to see you are refreshed and back into action.

Only if you want to, but it would need to be a pc or web version. I don't have a mac or a ipad anymore.

The great thing about Unity is that you can release a completed game for any platform. The only drawback is that a game optimized for mobile devices may seem a little crude running on a modern PC. Nevertheless, I intend to release a PC version so I will be sure to send you a private mail when it is ready, Starmind, I am sure you will enjoy seeing your creation in the game. It looks terrific.

In addition to Slenderman I have things in the game like fanged worms about the size of a dog, sea urchin creatures that float around shooting out spikes, small stunted mutants and other inhabitants of the "Zone." It is like a mini-STALKER game for the IPhone. There are no weapons, the only real game mechanic is to toss a small bolt. You'd be amazed at what you can do with a little bolt, things like setting off a bear trap before you step in it, etc. It is really shaping up to be a good little game with a lot of atmosphere.

Dear @starmind 001

I have just purchased some models from the site. After exporting them with Fragmotion to FBX they appear to change the animations inside. I have checked them with Maya but no idea if I'm doing something wrong.

May you share a hint on what to do. The models are the "Zombie Apocalypse for FPS Creator" as they look great!!!

Any Help greatly appreciated, of course

BR and thx in advance for your support
