Yeah it looks great but I wish he'd release the shaders separately; as it is it takes a while to compile.

The shader files are included.
It only takes 20 seconds to compile on my PC.
If it takes longer than that your machine probably won't run the demo at a good frame rate anyway.

Try ripping one. If you can get the directional light shader working I'd love to have the code. Pretty sure you'd have to go through all the included files and rip the relevant code to use one without the system.

Advanced Lighting is truly awesome! Unfortunately, I get a black screen if I try to run any of the demos which use Directional lighting at a screen resolution higher than 1024x768
I know a few other people have had this problem too, and I posted a reply on his forum, so hopefully he'll be able to fix that one

The code never bothered me anyway...

So I ran this at my normal resolution of 1920 x 1080 and wow. It runs amazing.

I posted it on Lee's blog on Monday because he was trying to figure out a better ambient occlusion for reloaded.
Evolved is using screen space ambient occlusion.

I see your getting 60 FPS. What are your machine specs?
The best I got was 36 FPS.

for default it is set 60 fps. Turn off Vsync ( set display mode Sw,Sh,32 ) to see real fps count

I have 120 fps on my PC ( 1920/1080 display )

@ Stab in the Dark
When I turn off my sync I get roughly 120 frames a second. Little more then that actually. I have the following specs...

Windows 7 Ultimate X64Bit
i5 Quad Core @ 3.2 Gighertz per core
NVidia EVGA GTX 660Ti ( With 3 Gigs DDR5 Ram on the card )
8 Gigs System Ram
SSD Hard Drive

I play Star Citizen at full graphics with no problems on this computer. I sold my 120 Hertz 3D Vision 2 BenQ 27" 1ms ( GTG ) Monitor. So now I am on this 24" and just waiting before I get another 27" again.

My specs are

i7 Quad Core @ 3.2 Gigahertz per core
24 GB of system ram
ATI Firepro v4800 with 1GB of GDDR5

I am going to have to replace my graphics card.
The amount of ram on the card is what is holding back my machine from running Advanced lighting shaders at a decent frame rate.

I forgot to turn off vsync, was running pretty solidly at 60fps for me. The most impressive thing for me isn't the shaders, they've always been awesome - for me that terrain is the best thing about this demo, it's huge and shaded and pretty... wonder if Evolved has a game project in mind.

I am the one who knocks...

Wow indeed. Beautiful.

1920x1080 without vsync.
Looking at sky: 220 fps
looking at see 178 fps
looking at shore and terrain 158 fps

But how to use this with Faizeq's Oculus Code ?
I tried.. no luck.

It is just like it is often said; it is not just about the tool, but the programmer.

I'm getting around 105fps at 1920x1200. i7-3770k, gtx660

But the animation of the water looks choppy, like I had 20fps or something. And the specular lighting on the water didn't look as smooth in JackDawson's screenshot, mine appeared to have a dithering effect.
