Hi Preben,

I am using AppGameKit 2.0.10 and have no issues with sound with MP3's encoded when using play music.

However for PlaySound I have to use WAV files (not MP3).

Kind Regards
Jason

Does the app play correctly on the Mac with sounds and music?

Check the case of the file names for the actual files and the text you use in your code. Android is case sensitive and I think iOS and OSX are as well.

You should also not have any spaces in your directory or file names (technically okay in some cases, but can cause problems in others).

Windows is sloppy and doesn't care about letter case in files and directories. And it is fine with spaces in the names.

Cheers,

Look for mediascan in the forum and try the program I wrote to check all your media files.

The media and filenames are all ok, and i still have this problem.

Actually im using a remote mac to compile, macincloud.com , so perhaps that's the problem ? , i don't think that it have any physical sound hardware.

All the ipa that it generates has no sound or music support both wav and mp3 dont work.

Im kind of stuck here , i think that the problem must be that it compiles on a mac that has no sound hardware , and for some reason don't include sound support in the ipa's ?

Anyone tried to use a remote mac to generate the ipa's ?

I had problem with some of my sound wav files where only one worked and when I looked the extension of the file was upper case and not lower as I was reading them in, only one file was lower case, took me a week to realise as windows doesn't show the extension and it was only by chance when I looked at the files in Linux I found out the problem.

Eg.
sound1.WAV
sound2.WAV
sound3.wav

I have asked for it to be put in the download area. It does solve a lot of repetitive problems, such as case sensitive names and incorrect WAV formats.

Just one of the attempts to help from the AppGameKit Pascal community.

Hi all,

I purchased a mac mini , and compiled from the ide, and everything was fine , so i still think the problem was the "remote mac" i rented. perhaps a bad xcode install or something , it came with everything installed, actually it had 3 different versions of xcode , so perhaps that was the problem ? Anyway getting a mac mini and doing my own xcode install solved everything

best regards Preben Eriksen,
