I've spent the last few weeks creating a very nice model pack for FPSC. It contains 29 entities, some are animated, some have custom scripts and sounds. Lots of good stuff in here, you can even create a full public restroom with the models included.

Check out my new site at:
http://hyrumark.zftp.com/FPSC/hyrumarkfpsc.htm

Price is $10.00. I think you'll find this to be a fantastic bargain. The quality I think is outstanding, right up there with the stuff included with FPSC. Check out the web page for tons of screen shots.

And here is the cool thing: you can even preview and manipulate the models in real time if you have the Shockwave browser plugin! How's that for try before you buy!

You can use these models in commercial games.

IMPORTANT: I'm stating up-front that this is entirely my own work. So you can buy with confidence. I set out with my trusy Fuji Z1 camera and modelled everything from my own reference pics, and that is apprarent if you check out the texture files.

I also have the source max files with the entire modifier stack intact which basically shows my workflow from beginning to end for each model.

That's some good stuff you have there, Bond. One thing I noticed when looking at your wooden chest is that you used the same texture shot from the front (with the latch), and put it on the bottom of the chest. Did you go around in your area to get the picture textures? I drank Bubba Cola once, I didn't know it was popular enough to put in a vending machine

Good job.

bond1 hyrumark,

Very nice work at a reasonable price.

I could use at least a couple of those items in my game and will consider purchasing, however I need to know if you have any restriction in any liscense to a user changing or editing the textures if nothing else as I dont want the exact same textures as everyone else and would like to edit them even if its some minor change to the overall look.

Thanks.

Thanks everyone.

To answer some questions:

Uman, change the textures, basically do whatever you want. Just credit me with the original model.

Yes I squatted over someone's nasty dump and took a picture of it.

KeithC, yes I went around and took all the pictures. And yes, you're right, the crate has the same texture on the bottom. I set this up as a static entity, but I think I will go back and change this in case someone wants to throw these around.

Ultraplex, the animated bathroom is set up like regular door in FPSC. When the door opens, collision is turned off. When it closes collision is on. Works well for hiding a needed item like a key.

bond1 hyrumark,

Thank you for the information and the very fair licensing arrangements too - all in all a great resource pack which I hope is well supported.

Credit due where credit is due and your pack deserves it.

Hope you keep up the excellent work.

Thanks again. I'm glad someone mentioned the payphone and sound effect...one of my favorites of the pack.

I would very much like to do another pack, but it depends on the success of this one. So far the response has been better than expected.

Believe me though, I'm not doing this to get rich. It's more for love than money. After paying for site hosting, tradebit for the instant downloads, its nice to put a little bit in my pocket to keep me motivated and maintain the site. I also hope to give out a free model at least once a month.

I just know there are very few places to get decent quality, inexpensive game-ready models. And I applaud TGC for their very fair pricing. And that's what I hope to continue providing.

Yeah ultraplex, like I stated in the earlier post, in order for the animated stall to work, it has to behave like a door in FPSC.

So when the door is open, collision is turned off. I think in most cases this won't be a huge deal. For hiding an item like a key from the player, you would simply grab the key and leave.

Also, I see another problem with the script, I have the HUD image pointing to the wrong path. Use this one instead, and this will also prevent the door from closing once its open:

I'll also email this to everyone who already bought...or download it here.

Thank you for pointing it out, I was really pissed to discover that I didn't have the HUD prompt showing up correctly also!

And I also updated the main file so anyone who purchases this now will have the updated script.

Thanks sinistar! Yeah tradebit is very reasonable, I've never used a service like this before, and it seems to be working great.

Yeah I get wierd looks from people when taking pictures out in public, makes me self conscious. It took a lot of courage to do that toilet, plus holding my breath...

You mean the one I built, "Mark's Ultimate Arcade"? Yeah I could do that. I've already modelled over 30 commercial arcade games though. It would be pretty easy to "port" them over to FPSC.

Well guys, I'm no longer offering my models for sale right now...

But...they will be offered again, but as part of the next official model pack for FPS Creator. I contacted TGC about mentioning my site in the next newsletter, and I was graciously offered the chance to produce the next official model pack.

If there are any specific requests feel free to post them. The pack will center around "modern day scenery" type items. I plan on including some static items, some animated items, and perhaps a few NPC civilian characters. Any suggestions are welcome.

Yes I will fix the bottom of the chest to correct this. The trashcan could use a little blending also, yes. These will be fixed for the official release. In the meantime, I will send a link to anyone who has already purchased the pack from me with the revised versions.

No specific time frame per se, I will only say "as soon as possible", however I would certainly like to complete it in about 3 weeks.

Skalex, I will take a look at all the suggestions, like you said, I can't possibly include everything, but I will try and do as much as I can while keeping a general "theme".
