Merranvo,
I'll think of something when I get stuck.
Really as you know its not much of a deed is it? It took me about a day if that to work out what was needed and get it completed.
Nothing really anything difficult that anyone else could not do themselves as you I am sure can see if you look at the files including the model. It just needed a little thought and a little model editing and some math to go in the script file for the positioning of the model pieces. Trial and error usually pays off. Its just sometimes a lot of trial and error but well get there in the end.
I also have more than one vesrion of the ladder which can span multiple level heights so one can climb high ladders in a straight run. However there are somewhat greater difficulties to overcome in order to accommodate their successful use due to the Physics engine as you will be aware. Thus far I have no need of such a ladder so wont try any further improvement with those until needed for my game.
Hopefully any FPSC update from whatever quarter may eventually provide us with a better solution.
Ladders are in fact quite hard for most indie engines to provide as you are probably aware and some of the most prominent ones still dont have them or have them incorporated and working properly. The physics is something of a difficulty in many indie engines when it comes to ladders, so FPSC is by default not the only one, far from it.
Still there is an option in FPSC with this ladder, albeit imperfect.
By the way just so everyone knows - enemies and friendlies can also use the ladder and I have had them follow me up them - however they have to have a good square on angle as otherwsie as we are all aware they can often get themselves stuck on protruding obstacles, their collision or obstacle avoidance being somewhat less than perfect. Not so important enemies getting stuck, but I dont like leaving my mates behind.
