Here is a screenshot and a playable demo of a game that I made for a school project. What you see is the product of about 4 days of work (crammed all in the last minute before it was due hehe). It is an rpg with an old school flair similar to the Old Bard's Tale type games. All of the media is placeholder stuff, 90% of the images are downloaded from WOTC and the music is all Bjorne Lynn.

Demo Download:

Screenshot:

Controls:
On the title page, the only keys that work right now are N - New Game, and Q - Quit (can also use escape)

In Game:
Arrow keys - Movement
U - Use item in inventory
F1 - switch to detailed character view
F7 - switch back to portrait view
The rest of the keys are prompted so you'll know what they are...

Features:
-Walkaround Dungeon
-Combat
-Useable Inventory Items

That's about it... also I'd like to note that I didn't even know that Hobgoblin Lord had already been working on a game that is very similar (and much better) than mine, but I thought that I would post this anyway. I started this based on the huge dungeon tutorial, so thanks to the creator for that... otherwise all the other coding is from my own brain...

Nicely done warspawn!

Only trouble critisim is i think battles are a tad too often, but the balance between diffculty and battles themselves are spot on! Hope it got you a high grade in your project and hope you expand on it!

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120...

Nice demo, I like it alot very much along the lines of what I am working on right now. Glad to see another Bards Tale style fan.
