Attention ! This project was completely reassembled.
To get the latest information about this project, you must go to this message under the link - https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/216095?page=4#msg2577965

All that is written below this message is not relevant, but you can read it to see how the project developed and what it turned into.

Vote please !
NORMALIZATOR in SteamGreenligth - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=889334510

The required amount is fully assembled. But I will not give up the donation. Thank you.
Now I close the free access to the NORMALIZATOR for exit to Steam.
Those who made donations, will now be notified of the new version and will receive updates for free.

Utility "NORMALIZATOR" written to convert ordinary images into Normalmap. Is not ideal, but suitable for a simple Normalmapping.
I hope that someone will find it useful.
Help.pdf attach in bottom of post.

EDIT (2016-08-08)
Added a specular processing.
Now so you can save all three textures D, N, S.
The name required to enter only once, the common name for all three images.
Postfix does not need to specify, the program will automatically add it.
If you save, you select or enter a name that already exists, the program will ask you - overwrite or cancel.
If you select when saving existing files from, say yellow_D.dds, the program will not save the new image with the name yellow_D_D.dds, it extract postfix of a name and save the normal yellow_D.dds, yellow_N.dds, yellow_S.dds.

EDIT (2016-08-11)
Added second pass render for normals.
Added blend for first and second pass render.
Added change light angle for view.

EDIT (2016-10-19)
GUI remade.
Added SAVE/LOAD presets.
Added image resize.
Added seamless texture creation.
Added import .X mesh for view texture on model.

EDIT (2016-12-20)
Loss of progress of work done, does not occur when the crash utility while running other applications or utilities failure for any reason.

The application in SteamGreenlight you can buy it there in the future, but if you want to get early access before the release in the Steam, you can make any donation and then you can have it before.
If you have a desire to help me, here is the link for donations

While the images are saved only DDS without compression. I will correct this omission pretty soon.

EDIT: Now you can choose the extension of the saved image (BMP, JPG, DDS) and the level of compression for the DDS.

I want to make today else the same thing for the specular, in the same application.
And then make a comfortable save an edited material with automatic addition of postfix (_D, _N, _S).

I have else another application - DarkPaint. It was not made for the Game-Guru shader system, this had only one specular channel, and not 4 as in GG. I want there to change the shader and then it will be possible to change the specular processing technique to display properly in the GG. And then you can edit the created material of Normalization in DarkPaint.

Dave . Thanks.

Update today. I added a specular processing.
Now so you can save all three textures D, N, S.
The name required to enter only once, the common name for all three images.
Postfix does not need to specify, the program will automatically add it.
If you save, you select or enter a name that already exists, the program will ask you - overwrite or cancel.

Look at the attached screenshots. Now possible so.

Wow. It is perfectly. Be sure to tell me. I really want to know what I was missing. I think that there is much to develop. Thanks

Edit:
It seems to me that can add to the a couple of channels Normalmap for detail normals. That is, from one image to produce several different normals and then mix them.

Regards.

If you can add bake ambient occlusion to that and bake from model you will have some real nice software.

Bake for ambient occlusion from normalmap , I did not think about it. Maybe.
Bake from the model? I do not want to do is this. Just I can not imagine is how best to do that, then a lot of work.

You have to have two models. low poly and high poly. You bake highpoly onto low poly to get your tangent space normal map, ambient occlusion map, spec map etc. This would be a better addon for Dark paint. Also I forgot to mention. Dark Paint doesnt care for windows 10. I had to do compat mode etc trying dif settings to get it to work. Still seems to run slow though. Expecialy when painting with a larger brush or line tool. Also is there a way in DP to resize the texture for your brush? Not just brush size. Thanks P.

This however is incredible and free .... Highly Recommended !!

I would consider a steam retail for this ... Even sold for a few dollars would bring you in a fortune IMHO

@granada:
Oh! Screenshot! Thank you!

@synchromesh:
Regarding SteamGreenlight, I can not afford to make a contribution of $ 100 to take part in the vote. While very much want )))

I'll lay out the update for it.
There will be the ability to save "preset" for settings.
Import object, something to look at the result on the model itself.
And I think that will make exports to the generation of GG FPE, and thumbnails.

not trying to sound to dumb but... do you click on 1 then adjust the settings. Then click on 2 and adjust the settings. Then click on 3 and adjust the settings?

What is the best dds. setting to use? 0-5?

When i try to overwrite the texture name it does nothing. If i rename the texture then it saves .

Thanks for the help guys.

You're welcome. I've been in hard times too, and if it wasn't for some generous friends i still would be, so i like to help, and i truly think getting your software onto greenlight is a good cause, you have something here that can potentially get you out of hard times, but as with most things in this world lately, you need money to make money. I think this should sell well once released, and i hope that when you get out of your slump you will pay back those who helped you by paying forward to others who need help.

If your going to greenlight it though may I suggest starting a small PDF of instructions built into the menu perhaps ?
Just to add to the pro look you have going there

Belidos, I think if I overcome all its difficulties, I will help other people. Where I live everything I know as a very generous person, maybe even too much. (Maybe in this I am in this situation, but it does not matter).

synchromesh, yes you are right, I have to make a PDF. I'll do it today.

Thank you guys for your feedback and your help.
