S3D is something I was working on awhile ago. I have received a few requests for it again so, I thought I would release it here. If you have time please download , run it and post if it works or if you get errors. It basically lets you re-texture existing rooms. The difference between S3D and the other programs is that S3D lets you walk around plus see if there are seams in your textures.

Just download and unzip, read the quick quide to set your fpsc directory and give it a try.

Downloaded. Works perfect for us on Vista Premium, Vista Basic, and XP Pro (all three are 32-bit OS). BlueFox really likes this--> the ability to re-texture rooms and walk through to see it.

The Quick Start PDF was very clear and concise on instructions. Great work.

Thank you BlackFox, you both are awesome for testing it. If you could answer 1 more question I would really appreciate it. What drive letter did you put it on. C drive on all or different drive letters?

For being so kind to test it so quickly and even on multiple systems, I will be sending you the other three skins, scifi, modern and horror. The skins don't change how the program works, just the look. (warning the horror one is pretty creepy.)

Thanks again

We knew you would ask that question of us We had gone ahead prior to our first post to test on a multitude of scenarios. We have our FPS Creator in a folder on the C drive (not the default folder either) on both my laptop and my wife's desktop. I first ran S3D on the C drive for both our computers and it found our folder for FPSC on both machines. Everything worked.

I then put S3D on an external drive that both my wife and I share. I ran the config from there and it found the path to FPSC (path is the same for my laptop and my wife's desktop). We ran the application from both the laptop and her desktop (S3D was located on F drive) and it worked perfectly. Even took it one step further and moved S3D again to a network drive. Again, everything worked for us.

Hope that helps.

No errors or problems on Windows7 64. Cool and useful program! The HUD portion sounds even more useful.

It is a great little program. Saves lots of time; wish I had had the time to finish helping Terry with it way back.

Thank BlackFox, I did find an odd error that happens on some machines. I think this is the problem anyway. It appears that if the music or sound files have a space in the name it crashes. Does not happen on mine. It crashes on start up when reading the files in. So, since you are able to run the program it's not an issue for you either.

Keith, I actually stopped for awhile because I was waiting for the release of FPSC with shaders. That was a few years back lol. The offical release is still not out, so hey. I am going to add your UVmap stuff in and release it again, was just trying to find this weird bug. I think a lot of users will love the uvmap explaination. Oh and thanks for the kind words.
