First video for 3D Robotron remake.
I have been messing around for a couple of months now and I am confident that I will be able to pull this off with AppGameKit 2 tier 1.

Youtube link

This should be a fairly faithful remake but with some modern twists, such as object collapsing as cubes, as seen in Tron Legacy.

A proof of concept for the object collapse is here.

Home brew rag doll is here.

Reasonable load test is here.

I made an ultra-faithful remake of it in 2007 which was accepted as an unofficial version 2 by the original developers

This will be a 3D version of that game, essentially.

This looks excellent. All around very good work. I've always thought remaking the classics in 3D (with a couple new tricks) would make for some great games and I think you are proving it with this game. Look forward to a demo down the road!

This looks extremely cool! Have you considered adding VR support? I was thinking something where the VR player sees the playfield from above, tabletop style.

Normally, I'm not a big fan of porting screen-based games to VR. I prefer VR games to be designed for VR from the ground up. But I think this one could work pretty well without too much work! I been toying around with the VR DLC (tier 1) and it's shamelessly easy!

I've got a Rift on order, so I'm keen to experiment with VR.

Although I have a DK2, the controller support is the big win I think. I'm actually overloaded with VR ideas, so I'm going to be busy I think!
