@blink All good not to worry just thought there would've been some of the submissions by now
more disappointed with the results just glad I turned down the offer to divide prize monies out to winners
as it would have to be returned. But maybe in time we can get more interest in future jams

Oh rubbish......between being Ill and travelling for my day job I forgot all about this.

I didnt do any more to bomberman, however the base code is all there - will upload it tomorrow night for anyone who wants it, you can turn it into a game pretty easily.

Shame I missed the deadline, but I still enjoyed the fresh distraction, just really bad timing for me. Changing jobs in a couple of weeks, so should be no more 65 hour weeks to eat up all my time.

Here you go, the full project.

Like I said, there's only one level but adding new ones is just a case of adding a new text file (I would have commented this more), and making code to loop throught the level loading. Also, dieing means you need to restart, so needs some form of restart of lives function. Lots of room to expand upon it for anyone who wanted too.

PSD files are in as well, for ease.

I'm pretty much done with my RL stuff, and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to participate in the next contest.

Maybe we should allow only games that were made before 1990 ( or in an era <= 10 yrs ), to keep it more simple and the entries more consistent.

- I wrote a program, that created new bigger thumbnails for the FPSC Classic OpenSource models.
- started a little prop editor

and this week I had my graduation celebration, my thesis was about Raspberry Pi, OUYA, and using the free assets with AppGameKit

yesterday Razer posted, that they will shutdown all OUYA related things in June.
but on the bright side Google announced BASIS, a texture compression as good as JPEG, but also with 6:1 and 8:1 compression in memory

my Bachelor Thesis is written in German, but if you are interested, I can upload it. To make my point, I created some tools for data analysis, sorting, compression, but it is a little bit more way to a "finished" product as I had this week.

This is a tool I am working on, hope, to get it finished soon. The idea is, to select previews from your model library and the programs shows the preview, the texture, and you can generate a ne texture map out of all your assets and create a atlas and use that in combination with LoadSubImage()

Also it should copy all the needed model files and create a little code snipped, which loads all the models into memory first.

The idea is also, that the texture atlas could be changed and updates the subimage-text file and for each asset you could choose, how big the texture would be, like it is possible in photoshop. But in photoshop you would lose the path of the texture and of the models and FPE files and so on, and you couldn't create a new subimage-atlas-text-file, and photoshop would not copy your files from different places to your media folder.

I wrote it in PureBasic, because I have no native Gadget-System for the UI in AppGameKit yet.

Maybe at this point I have to create another thread or so, I am working on this tool and what it does is:

- it stores the location of the original textures
- creates a new texture map

todo:
- create subimage-atlas-txt
- export as 4K x 4K PNG
- auto copy all selected models from the source into the target folder
