Pursuant to the mod post on slowing- I program quite a bit in DB and the code is quite large on this project (more than a hundred pages)- The game is set to run in an arcade cabinet and everything has run very smoothly until yesterday when I added a small amount of code (reset a flash routine to run on 2 variables and added a numeric # variable for variable shield recharge)- The game loop runs fine and fast but when the attract mode starts after a game it slows to a crawl- I assume this is some type of variable accumulation- It vanishes if I insert a virtual quarter and begin the game again.

Two questions-
Is there a way to limit decimals for a numeric field as I suspect this is a problem and I need at most 4 or 5 places?

Is there a way to refresh or update all variables so that the waste/kipple bits from older loops/unused are taking out of memory and reset when necessary?
