Here is the latest project i am woking on.

Name: Gear Grinder


Progress.
First Beta Basics 10%
Menu and GUI Customisation 2%
Levels 2%
Cut scenes 0%
music 0%
Sky 4%

Instruction level 1
Enter the second warehouse and take out the escapee and his contact the head through the first gates to the container yard gates where you will be evaced

Level 2
Level Changed and incomplete, get to the top of the stairs to finish.

It looks a little bland. That warehouse needs crap in it. Plus no one is gonna reply to this if yo don't post a story. If you need ideads you can always ask for them in my showcase forum. INSOMNIA

thanks for the advice i have not put anything in the warehouse becasuse of the FPS how it is at the moment i will relase an update within a day or so.

PS, the second level is part of a complex i have split it into seperate levels to avoid any problems.

Story: You have no job and your wife has left you for the store manager at quickies saying "he earns a decent living, he can provide and love me." It was the last straw now you are a complete loser in life.You travel to Kazakstan to find the "Corpration" its your last hope. When you arrive at the corpration HQ they are very welcoming and glad you want to join, they arm you with a MSG90 on a test range and an unusual bond forms between you and that gun, its happened you have become a Gun Run, you fly around the world taking out threats to the civilised world and the corpration.

do you know the actual definition of a gun runner is someone who sells guns on their own. What you are thinking of is a hitman.

yeah i know but there are a few games called hitman assasin ect and i am working in gun running to the game just trying to be a bit more creative.

PS anyone played the game yet?

What are the problems?

If they are one in the following list download the gunrunnerssetup.msi (Microsoft Setup Installer) install file

Desktop shortcut when clicked brings up a black screen.
Start Menu Shortcut when clicked brings up a black screen.

Nice use of model pack 3 even if it is a beta your level is otherwise pretty much empty from what I can see....The one room might be a little too big too handle smooth frames when you start adding entities....

The new download for Gun run is called installgunrun.msi, unistall all previous versions before installing, fixes a few bugs, startmenu shortcut not working,desktop shortcut now removed and the untextured trees. It contains all the information for the patches i relase will need.

people combine mp5 and mp6 together, it doesnt work because the hands are totally different. Looks bland but keep trying.

update 23/feb/07

I have manged to get the frame rate higher in the first level and add some if only a few entities to the warehouse.

Changed the second level with more enemies model pack6 player weapons only.

I am near completion on the third level too.

You need to sit down and work your lightmapper....as it is now there is no depth t it..Add some lights and watch it come to lif man! YOu light it they will come

After a major re-think and relocation of my webstie i can resume working on gear grinder as its now called the story remains the same but how the game starts has changed ill post a new demo in the next day or so.

After about a month a new version is available from my website, I can't upload the file here as well but i hope many of you will visit the site as well. A new screenshot gallery is on the site.

New Features.
All old levels have been removed
Integrated Updating system allows you to receive streamlined updates and patches.

Of course ill still upload major new versions as time passes but using the integrated updater allows you to receive minor updates without downloading massive patches.

Model Pack 3 is the best official addition when it comes to realistic Environments for Warehouses, fire stairs and so on. But the consistent look of this pack makes it hard to combine with other elements without looking "confused".

Try to create own segments and objects fitting to the look of MP3, and you will get even better results than the one you showed - they are already quite good.

here are some screenshots of the new menus and a major update
there seems to be a problem with the auto updater so that has been left out of this version, i will release patches instetad

you now use the X key to open doors ect.
