FPSC had a pre-made level called terrorstrike.

so I thought "Hey. what if I made a sequel?"

And it happened, Terrorstrike 2. the sequel to the modern-set level.

here's da 1st screen

The environments look bland and most of them do not use lights. There are also random candles lying around.

I'm sorry to say, but this is kinda of pathetic compared to Terrorstrike. Look at the map layout of the first Terrorstrike, look at the entities used in the first one and try and make a story line up based on what is in the first one!

Hope this helps!

Ah I get it now. So this was just before the great bland war? Before all the entities existed, that makes more sense now.

Ok I know it’s cruel, but I could not resist it. Hehe

zavix... Two things: 1. When the game is at the time of the cold war, why are there sci-fi weapons? 2. Maybe that looks so only on the screenies, but there are hardly any enemies! I think why should there be an anti-terror-organization when there are no terrorists?

i´ve written "jhon" the wrong way on purpose

uhhh...I tried getting a MP

but it totally screwed up the lighting feature.

2nd, I don't think the model packs have Cold War russian soldiers or soviet S4-7s. I don't think they have ANYTHING to do with 1990.
that's when cold war took place (i think)

anyway, a cold war style pack is all I really need for the game.
wehrmachts just don't fit in.

Explain to me how a model pack screwed up your lighting.
Everybody's first FPSC effort sucks.Mine did.

FredP:
it started out like this-I got the upgrade for FPSC V1. along with Model Pack 5. But when I went to test the game, the whole level just went KABOOM the minute the game started. I could not see a darn thing and the textures were more horrible then a large empty room with no lightmaps.

My first effort was a fair start. I just played around with the room segments, scenery, guns, and stuff, then I decided to get into the real challenge of making and selling games.

Tyrano:
Crashes normally occur when you use something in the wrong way. Trust me, It happened once.

You should've tried changing the preferences. Maybe you had no ambience and no lightmapping.

ok well i think its a ok effort i cannot knock anyones creativity level in the leaste. What ile do is use this as a example ,you see on each picture the rooms are open far too big just for a little gun just stood all on its lonesome in the middle of the floor. Now if i were playing this i would ask myself why is the gun on its own...why is it not hidden behind crates for say an enemy was ment to come and find it a bit later....? Or maybe if the guns on its own in a room bigger than my house then why didnt a enemy find it first....? after all its not hidden its just on the floor. You see its called creative logic and in my respect making a fpsc game should take the same amount of creativity as a game fully programmed..and developed for example lighting, what started the lighting ..is it a light or window....if its a light place a light ...whats the puropse of the light ? if its an empty room why should it use light ?. If you add some box's make it into a store room then add a light it gives more of a creative feel than a empty room with a gun and a dull light. Now not getting at you here i have seen many games that have been made and every single one looks the same..... now what i am getting at is realy sit back and think about the game ..how the story will slot in place ...how will the game play....these are things to realy focus on insted of just pumping out pic's that all look the same ....personalise the game and make it stand out from the crowd

all the best

no offence its a good idea but
1: more entities your level looks emptier than my wallet after gamespace.
2: you need to think out your weapons carefully even if you only do have stock media there are plenty of free good quality modern weapons on the forums, use the search tool.
3: please get at least model pack 1 because that is what you really need for terrorists.

no worries on the 1st screens I took.

the alpha edition is coming in june.

It's not in the cold war years now. Instead, it takes place 2 years after Terrorstrike 1.

I made a little book to house the info.
level design, story, the protagonist, ETC.

Lol no it didnt, cold war took place from the end of WW2 to the fall of the soviet union in the 80's reaching its peak in the 1960's. Hence all the cold war based spy movies including the james bond movie, from russia with love

I have to say this. I hate that you flatter people like this zavix:

Quote: "well, to tell the truth, this level is before the origal Terrorstrike timesetting.

It's actually in the year of the cold war "

Quote: "It's not in the cold war years now. Instead, it takes place 2 years after Terrorstrike 1."

Quote: "the sci-fi weapons part is a secret that will be found out at the end of the game "

Quote: "Sorry, I had to."

uhh...I have no idea what you did.

anyway, I got the protagonist.

the main character is a U.S agent named Jack F. Mayfield. (and was also the star of Terrorstrike. according to studies) Jack is 25 and had a former job of a beach patrol officer. He gave up on that because of his early draft into the conker wars cost him a fortune to re-build his house. So the president of the U.S.A assigned him to a special mission to stop a terrorist threat.

now it's been 2 years. Jack is thinking of quitting. but at the last minute, he received a message from the president. Bio-terrorists are building outposts throughout numerous parts of the dirty part of the Dorma county. (made up) now, he must take out the Bio-terrorists to save the U.S once again.

so the story kinda interlocks with the protagonist info.

if you mean custom media, then I'm sorry but I can't.
