I just can't wait to see the Movie, The Matrix Reloaded.

The original Matrix movie was so COOL! That film Rocks!

When I used to live and work in Denver, Colorado, I met a girl who became fascinated with me when I mentioned that I loved The Matrix.

Funny way to score I guess...

BTW - Has anyone seen the disaster movie The Core? I'm gonna see it tomorrow night.

i've booked at Warner Village in Watford for my folks cause i'm back that way in a week
so atleast this isn't gonna be a repeat of LOTR with me having to wait a good month to see it.

definately looks awesome, X-men2 does too though - they've been showing like these mini-episodes which are filmed like "news casts" they look really tacky but they do have some good interveiws and such

"i LUV the matrix yah i saw the core. it was pretty good."

Yeah, saw the Core was ok. Deep Impact and Armeggadon were better.

I've heard that there were two films made in parallel. The Matrix Reloaded and a 3rd Matrix movie to be released sometime. Is that correct?

According to the making of the Matrix Reloaded, they filmed part of it in Arizona where they constructed a Highway or Inter-State which was 1.5 miles long!

Core was funny... I mean, it was ok at parts, but it generally didn't make any sense, and the lightning storms just screamed "I'm CG! I'm CG!"... still, it was somewhat enjoyable .

man, has anyone seen the matrix reloaded? came out yesterday night, i'm hearing mixed opinions on it, critics gave it a "B" overall and it scored 3.8/5 on the yahoo! movies sight! Anyways, i love the matrix so no matter how bad or good they say it is i know i won't be disappointed

the core was never the serious film the makers wanted it to be... and to be honest it is 100% special effects and dare i say it a 100% guy flick

as for reloaded, i can't wait to see it or hear what everyone things tommorrow when its released
personally i think its gonna be a true blast for Matrix fans, and some of the special effects and scenes i've got to see are just bloody awesome - like a theatre scene, just love what the bullets do on the wall ... creepy but cool

i'm sure many people have downloaded it from eDonkey or Kazaa already though and some know what i'm talking about.
from what i've seen (and i've been told not even the best scenes) i LOVED it, so i can't wait to see the rest soon.
Xmen2 is also high on that MUST SEE list ... then November Revolution & the new Ghost in the Shell movie
christ i'm so excited.

Lol, just saw it yesterday (fortunately it comes out in Aussie-Land a little earlier then the US because it was filmed here =P). It is the most amazing film you could ever hope for, I may be a little biased because I loved the original so much - watched it about a billion times, own it on video, and have a 3-disc DVD set with the making of and other junk on it.

Reloaded though was just awesome, there's this car crash scene in it that you have to see but I don't want to give away too much in case I ruin it but anyway, Revolutions is coming out in November, can't wait for it now lol.

Oh, and I hear both films are coming out in digital 15/70 for the Imax, so I'm definately going to see it there if it ever happens. Exact dates are: Sometime in June for Reloaded, and 5th November for Revolutions.

Btw, has anyone seen the Animatrix? It's pretty cool albeit very strange.

Yeah, Enter the Matrix looks a real treat, if my computer was half-decent I'd buy it right now but at the moment I need to upgrade it.

Although the plot for Enter the Matrix is a little strange, rather then following the movie as Neo, you can play as 2 different characters from an alternate Matrix. So really, other then the whole concept of living in the fake world the story from the movie isn't in the game (i.e. there is no Neo, Trinity or Morpheus).

Oh, and I should mention that Reloaded is VERY, VERY, confusing, don't take a piss break or you'll get lost when you come back lol.

Uh... actually, from the article I read, it's set in the exact same area, at the same time. It ties directly into the movie. It's just that you can't play any of the movie's main characters. But you see the game characters in the movie, and vice versa...

Enter the Matrix is a game that IS the movie, you just have more of it. The plot IS the movie, but much more in depth.

I saw it Wednsday night, it was the most amazing unparalled beauty I've ever see.

I thought Martix Reloaded was damn good, esspecailly the fight between Agent Smith and Neo (maybe this topic should have a spoiler warning). I liked how a couple of the stories in Animartix filled in the backstory in Reloaded. Man it's gonna suck having to wait 6 months to see how this concludes.

Hmm, the movie industry is very funny, i've been monitoring the release of several movies since the beginning of this year and found out that release time is even more crucial than the quality of the film. So far, if the film is descent enuff, it's guaranteed that the further out in the year you release it, the more weekend gross money you get (more cinema's to release in), all you have to do is check the stats to proove it. however though, it's the cumilative gross that lets the overall best films stand out.

From the stats however, although "Lord Of The Rings" was shown in only 190 theatres on it's release week getting only $151,733 in 2 days of release (as compared to xmen2 3,749 cinemas) it's still the highest earning film of the year (for now and i think for the rest of the year) at a whooping $338,457,054 and the only film close to it at the mo is "Chicago" at $166,514,604 (nice movie timing by the way, grabbed everysingle award possible), thats almost half!

yeah they may say wow "xmen2" got $40,032,160 in only 2 days of release, or "the matrix reloaded" got $42,000,000+ in the same time (which would be like everyone going to see the movie) but at the end LOTR is still sitting up

Reloaded was indeed good . It's damn hard to make a sequel to something that big and pull it off well... and to think, 2 excellent sequels in one month... rare, isn't that?

The dialogue was a bit... odd, however... it felt rather unnatural. Not a terrible blow to the movie though.

The main thing that annoyed me was that at the end, a certain person who used many complex terms, misused many of them.

Still, a very good movie indeed.

Lol yeah, sorry that Enter the Matrix thing was my mistake, I was going by an article I read in the Jan issue of my PC mag and couldn't remember the details properly. Just looked over it again and you're all right lol.

I actually won a copy of the game in the Advance screening competition, should recieve it within the month so we'll see how it fairs then. =)

Oh and a lot of people criticize Reloaded because it seems too graphically animated (particularly the Neo vs Agent Smiths scene) but it still looks very cool.

i've heard a tonne of reveiwers panning the film ... but most of them are pricks anyway who for saying they see films all the time they don't know what the hell makes a good film. (kinda why i don't trust reviews)

that said i got Enter the Matrix earlier today just been playing it like mad
the game actually starts near the end of the 1st film, you get some good explainations and the worlds are story driven - but not greatly linear, atleast not from what i've seen so far.
there are set routes marked to go to continue with the story, but you can go adventuring a tiney bit as well

i've not got far in it, keep getting killed by the agent current on my tail ... but it certainly rocks so far. Max Payne action atleast with better bullet time

Yeah just saw it then, it was cool that last weekend they screened 9 episodes of the animatrix and the 9th one leaves off directly where the matrix reloaded begins

If you want to criticize the cg work, remember that everything in the real (matrix) world is meant to be a computer program, so it's easy to overlook

A lot of very cool crouching-tiger-hidden-dragon-type kung-fu too

I'm sure I'll find things to hate about it tomorrow but it was just so damn entertaining for a hollywood flick, one liners usually spoil those films for me, but they make up for it with some cool concepts. It definitely leaves you wanting more too...

Yeah jeez, I thought that scene was one of the funniest and outlandish pieces of choreography I've yet seen in an action flick, There is simply no way to make something like that believable, so why bother perfecting it anyhow? *lmao*

Haha, the funniest thing about it is you must wonder why he continues to try and fight the oncoming hordes of Agent Smiths when there's no actual reason for him to kill them.

the whole time im watching those fight scenes i keep thinking, damn something like that with those moves and that speed would make a killer fighting game.... *runs off to delve into the making of a fighter game*

This has got to be my most favorite movies of all time... The fight scenes did not look very cg to me... i mean, you could tell it was..but...it didn't hurt the moment at all...

as for the car scenes... i can't even tell if those crashes were real or cg, man it was so cool

the Agent Smith fight scene was awesome, i mean you can tell when it is completely CG or when it is real - however to be honest i have trouble telling when they switched, so i have a feeling that it was deliberately made to look CG in alot of places. I mean some, like Trinities Carpark scene were obviously trying hard but just could get it

though on the whole they did do a bloody good job blending, and you've gotta love the Xion guard unit - i couldn't tell to be honest if that was CG, Real or just a Model.

and the carscene obviously had ALOT of work but into it, the directors putting out an open challenge to anyone to beat it i mean christ i don't think anyone will be able to for a good while it was just awesome, especially the Spectre Twins ... god i love how they can just switch

LOL, that's pretty funny considering they spent $300,000,000 just building the highway.

If yuou're looking for a game that matches the insane kinda fighting that The Matrix has I can olny thind of one series, but don't luagh. Super Smash Bros. I said don't luagh! When you get right down to it this is the only fighting game that really makes good fights. You don't have a real life bar so you could die at the start of the match or get completelt creamed and still come back, you do alot of airal combat so tou have room to run around. Hell, on Melee, go to the 100 man malee to try best Neo vs Smith impression.

sorry, but i have to say that i found reloaded quite a turnoff...
too much fighting scenes and the car-chasing on the highway was going on for way too long. too much focus on special effects. but the end really made me confused =)

what i like about the matrix is that it is so symbolic everywhere. either you can take it as just another violent action-flick, or you can look deeper into the philosofical questions of the movie. to me, it is clearly anti-capitalist. the speach that Morpheus held in Zion, with all citicens around him with the fist in the air, was so beautyfull i actually cried... LOL =)

i know this is pretty silly but wanna point out

Zion - Zee on
Xion - Zigh On

don't ask me why its just how you say the language, wanna blame someoen blame the Latin Romans

that aside the Xion speech was, was a little cheesy. I mean all respect but it is the cheesiest point of the entire film.
Just like the effect when the agents left people in the first one with that tacky electric effect you'd see on a piss poor TV show which could afford anything expensive.

ya know was watching the matrix (again) today, something i noticed... there are times when you think damn that is so tacky or, man that is so CG work - and then you get to the scene with the helicopter and you can just help but go ... GOD DAMN that is some awesome CG.

i mean look at the hovercraft and you think, meh! CG - you look at that Helicopter Scene, i mean if they didn't make the building ripple like that i'd of been hard pushed to have been able to say that it was all computer generated, all the lighting reflections everything - just flawless

well, dont really like super smash bros.... the fighting just isnt intense enuf...

i like close really fast combat with different combinations of moves and blocks.... MK on the PS2 almost did it for me... but not quite there yet, the moves are too linear.... i think something like press a punch button at the right time you can punch without getting hit...block at the right time you can block a punch coming at you... then the same with the kick.. just three buttons... then control the direction and target with the joystick/mouse or something... i think that would make some good gameplay.. [edit oops]

but anyways... the speech? I liked the speech... he put good power into that... the only problem i suspect some people thought it was cheezy was because people just don't give speeches like that any more... I'd have to use Hitler as an example... even though it's in a language i cant understand he put tremendous power in his speeches... it's no wonder how he got people to follow his crazy arse... But anyways... not that I would refer morpheus(sp?) to hitler... as morpheus isn't a crazy bastard bent on the mass murder of people... but i thought the power behind their voices were strikingly similar oh ya.. and morpheus is just a movie character...

A) I get that www.tjevlar.org thing too, whew, and I thought it was a virus.

B)"well, dont really like super smash bros.... the fighting just isnt intense enuf..." LOL then you weren't playing it right. I filled up a 8 hour tape with me against 3 level guys that were all on the same team. I don't think you could get more intence that that, hell I only won half the time .

C) I'll have to go see Reloaded a second time, the middle of it nearly lost me, when they we're talk about rouge programs and stuff. Maybe Revolutions will clear up the hasey parts. Speaking of which, did you guys watch the teaser trailor after the credits? I loved the part when Neo and Smith are out in the rain and all the other Smiths are booing Neo. I like the humor in that, kinda like the expression the left center Smith has just after Neo flew away in the that massive brawl.

I just went to see the Matrix Reloaded and i was disapointed!!
I loved the first Matrix but the new one totally draggs for the first hour, Zion is cool but I wanted to see more of it. Also whats the deal with that dance scene and the Neo&Trinty love scene....
I could have written a better intro than that!

They even tried to make it funny!!!
Some bits really should have been taken out, cause they made no sense to the story like the French programmer saing "I love cursing in French, its like wiping you ass with with silk" and the bit where the female eating the chocolate cake, we suddenly get a matrix style zoom in between her legs then she gets up and runs to the loo????
Does anyone else feel confused here?!?!?

Personally I think Trinty looks old now, like shes worked too hard. you'll see what I mean in the first 20mins of the movie!!
Also Keanu Reeves can't act to save his life, there a bit where hes supposed to be looking concerned for the people and the guy says I can see by the look on your face how this worries you, or something like that..... but he looks the same as always?!?!
Neo sad = [b])
Neo happy = [b])
Neo angry = [b])
Neo in love= [b])
All the same!!!!!

However it was worth it just to watch the fight scenes... amazing!!!
but sometimes it looks too well cheorgraphed and you can sometimes the CGI is too noticeable, but I soooo want a motorbike now!!

Now as to the third matrix, theres a trailer at the end so don't leave the cinema too early.

Also in about a months time when you all have seen it, I'll give you my opinion on the future and what the guy with the white hair was talking about. I don't wanna spoit it any more.

I know I'm being very critial but I had such high expectations of this movie and I feel so let down!

Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over!

Rose she did get pregant whilst filming ya know ... add that with 3-4days of shooting the same scene over and over where she has to do alot of action, well it would kill most people.

i think most people had high expectations, listening to all the hype and such lucki me i've been on business and flittering about, about the only hype i saw before seeing the film was the 2 trailers i saw on TV then the Matrix and Animatrix the day before i saw the actual film ... also played the game.

wasn't disappointed even slightly, but then again ya'll must agree it does have that Animé binge in it now - either talking or action never an inbetween
probably why i loved it so much, reminded me alot of Ghost in the Shell.

IT REMINDED ME ALOT OF GHOST IN THE SHELL hint-hint hehee
man you know when you can say so much, yet not say anything about the plot itself ... as it passed over mosts heads thats cool cause they probably don't know it either.
should more likely wait to talk more about it until everyones seen it a few times.

Not if you're a fan of action movies. I've seen movies with more fight scenes (hong kong made), and the car-chase was only 14 minutes, and didn't stretch my concentration span. I was enthralled the whole time.

I could tell the difference. Anyway, he didn't get particularly happy in the movie and not that angry either.

The Matrix Reloaded was definitely one of the best movies I've seen (note: action movies are my favourite, but my whole family liked it too.)

I had high expectations, and it met them.

Unless you've too much cash, we'll all have to wait until it comes out on DVD, and watch it 2 or 3 times more to get all the little details you miss first time around.

It took me until I got home to fully realise what was going on with the Architect, did you get it? Every time he asked a question, every choice available came up on the screens behind, and Neo picked one of them. Sometimes, there was only one choice on all the screens.

Thanks in advance.

Reeves can act very well IMO. If you're looking for highly exagerated expressions, I suppose he'll look too wooden-- but I find his acting a lot more realistic than most people say.

lol... Reeves is like Marlyn Monroe, they both (were) good actors just they're emotions in a scene have a lot to be desired.

though i mean you pit Reeves against Hugo (Neo vs Smith) and the emotions are certianly alot different... personally i think that Hugo's acting as always was just so cool. i always kinda though that he was actually american, never realised until i saw him being interveiwed the otherday that he's got such a sharp english accent. so that just kinda adds even more awe to that guys abilities.

not sure about anyone else though the best part of Reloaded was the twins true Brit bad guys ... almost brings a tear to your eye and they could be more cool in the way they're depicted throughout
gotta love those white dreads, i know it wasn't real hair - but still the dreads were awesome
