Well it seems like the Tempest Free Release doesn't work for me, I've opened the example from the Example 1 folder and I get the following error while compiling (without changing any code):
Subscript must be Integer or DWORD when referencing an array at line 41.
This line says:

I've searched the forums but I couldn't find a specific answer so I'd like to get some help if possible

You haven't installed the plugin. Put the DLL in the compiler\plugins-user folder and it should work.
