Wow! I'm glad people like the way things are going so much!
As for my leg, the swelling is down, but fear not! I'm not getting the cast off until late august at least (that's when I go back to college), and then I need a boot and will be going through physical therapy. Now I don't have to keep it elevated all the time though, which is good. You see, Doctor says my foot was crushed. Probably because of the 5 fractures in my ankle and foot, and the muscle damage, and the fact that it certainly felt like it was crushed.

However everything is in place, and it doesn't look like there's any lasting damage. My whole lower left leg is a rainbow of sickly colors below the cast, and I can now move my toes at least thrice as well as I could after the accident (not saying much).
Game Stuff:
Well, I've gotten a lot done. I've gotten the level select into a more final form, and with a few more teaks it will be ready the show off. I've even made it so the cursor appears over the level you've just unlocked, and made the pickup key also select levels. I've also redone the pause menu to fit the main menu, and it's going nicely so far.
Then, I've added the WASD keys as another option for movement.
And just now I've made it so the farther underwater something it, the darker it gets. Just a few ghosted plains, but it does the job nicely.
Next I'm planning to model the train wreck background, which uses a hand drawn pencil sketch texture. Then I'll be making a lake background, for the first rising water level.
Also, I think the forest might be called Lod Forest. Would that be a nice nod to geeks and such, or it that just lame? See, even though I've mapped out many of the paces in Deadworld, I haven't named most of them yet.
