Hi people!Well I tried this weekend to make a Resident Evil fan game.It looks pretty good, but I need your pro critics, like what should I change etc.I uploaded a demo to. link http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XQOIF7RO

and here are some pics.Please have mercy!BTW i used the HL2 zombie because I didnt had time to model one(getting ready for some school exams ).The main menu looks like in resident evil 3 nemesis and yea loading screen and other stuff to.

lookin' good. lovin that HUD too!
that looks an awful lot like the pistol in FOTF...

That isn't your HUD, is it? I saw that somewhere else.

Based on your screenies, the level design looks bland and empty. The light isn't coming from light sources, and there are few entities occupying your rooms.

To freakshow:

It is the pistol from FOTF. Butters released it a while ago somewhere in the Models and Media board.

Eeeh, look alright. Get more entities, lights, and light sources.

And I heard you can't use the HL2 zombie because of piracy rules, or something, so I've heard.

nope its not my hud, I think i found it yesterday or eh yeah.I think we can use the hl2 zombie if we make a freeware, but I'll check

That's funny, why not just use everything from the HL game, put it in your free game and let people download it for free, no need to buy the HL game then, come on guys, of course you cant use it.

Well, then use some protection, such as vishnu or Phoenix. This is a long gone argument, I'm not going to be a part of another, but valve hasn't previously minded it, as they support fan games (one ended up on steam!). While I'm not sure about their stance if it's a RE fan game, they probably don't care a whole lot.

Not much to add to what's already been said, though it appears you have some z-clashing going on in that first pic where the left two walls meet. If you don't have the capabilities to fix this yourself, hide it with a pillar or something. Otherwise, not a bad start.

Ya, I see it too. FPSC has a habit of doing that, the way its levels are built, which is why they put in the corners.

Being the biggest RE fan ever.. Here's a few tips.

Start off with the Handgun and Knife
Next comes the Shotgun
Now a assualt rifle
Magnum
Sniper rifle
Grenade launcher

Always end the game with an explosion, oh and can't forget bad dialouge.

lol yeah, and have A LOT more than just zombies!
throw in a few distorted, twisted looking creatures.

And FADE's rite, lots o bad dialogue and end it with a big BOOM!
