Phy set rigid body position?

Just a guess, I hate character controllers so I try not to use them.

Lol, yes, I'm keeping an eye on it just for kicks. I'll never go back to it unless they add programming to it again. Even then, eh. 3dRad was cool, but I graduated from that a good bit of time ago. It was fun and an excellent tool to learn on, but now I look at it and it just looks like a toy to me.

Sorry my advice didn't work.

Make an object and convert it to character controller

Quote: "phy make box character controller 2, 0, 10, 0, 2.5, 2.5, 2.5, 1, 1.5, 45.0

This will set out our controller with the following properties:

· an ID number of 2

· being positioned at 0 units on the X axis

· positioned at 10 units high on the Y axis

· positioned at 0 units on the Z axis

· it will be of size 2.5 units on the X axis

· it will be of size 2.5 units on the Y axis

· it will be of size 2.5 units on the Z axis

· the up direction is on the Y axis

· the maximum step level is 1.5 units

· the maximum slope we can walk up is limited to 45 degrees"

To move I use

Hope this helps

Make an object and convert it to character controller

EDIT: You must create the character controller exactly where you created the object i.e. as with above the 500,30,400 in both commands.

well what im trying to do is use a character controller for my players movement while on ground, but if my player jumps like up to a higher platform or swims in water then my player wouldnt be attached to the cc.

then when my player gets to another area like a higher platform.then i want to position the cc with my player again.and my player would follow the character controllers movements again.

ive found i have to do this because.. ccs cant jump.
+ ive noticed they dont fall either when moving off a slope.
i really hate the ccs in dp.if i knew they were like this i would never have gotten dp!

You can always delete and recreate the character controller leaving the original object intact so that when he is on the ground again or where you want him create the character controller based on Object Position X/Y/Z() and use standard collision detection till back in ccd mode.
