This is the alpha release of my zParticle (Zerks Particle) plugin. An Advanced Particle System plugin for DarkBASIC Pro!

This is still a work in progress and is not yet feature complete but most of the functionality is there.

Please feel free to try it out and leave your suggestions and opinions. I basically would like to get a feel of how it works for everybody and if you find any bugs.

You must have WinRAR to open this archive.

Whats included:
- zParticle.dll (plugin file)
- zParticle.ini (DBP IDE Command definition file)
- readme.txt
- Fireworks demo DBP source code
- Snow demo DBP source code
- Toxic Barrel demo DBP source code
- Ghost Rider demo DBP source code
- Flock demo DBP source code

*each demo includes custom particles and emitters that you can tweek or reuse. You'll be amazed at the cool effects you can accomplish with zParticle!

zParticle is designed to run as fast as possible using instanced rendering functionality. There is no limit to the number of emitters you can create!

Sorry, no editor... yet.

Read the readme.txt for more information.

*EDIT* Fixed some missing files.

Thanks!

Thanks for the comments guys!

I haven't put the documentation together yet. Although the samples use all the commands that the plugin will understand so you can just check those out for now.

By omitting a command, it will use the default. The only command that doesn't do anything at this moment is emitter:maxParticles.

Let me know how they work!

Very nice. Too many people don't include screenshots, but you are a smart cookie. <Hands over the sword of honor> I will be downloading now. Any news on a new version?

Cheers,

I'm currently working on beta now. A couple weeks hopefully.

I dont know why it would be crashing Cash. I do know that the DLL I released required d3dx9_33.dll (April 2007) but other that that, maybe its the version of DBP? I dont see how since it's the same plugin framework I've been writting since pre 6.2.

zParticle will do some very nice magic particle effects. I do plan on putting together an editor but I want to get the plugin done first.

Thanks guys!
