I can't imagine text size, images, and such being useful for an FPI editor, but, if it does other things, I guess its okay...just not for the FPI part...

It kinda looks like you may have used a wizard, but I'm used to coding DBP & some old C++ (Wolf3D ), not Visual, so I can't tell. The only reason I doubt you programmed that all yourself is you don't seem to know exactly what your talking about and the feature list looks like "Oh! Look at that! That would be cool! *click* Woot! It's in!". No offense meant, but that's what it looks like.

Visual basic must use windows API's much easier than I previously thought then....but, David did say it was essentially click n' drag unless you got messy...

Heh, I think he should be the one calming down. He has a quick temper and a short fuse.

So far, with my review over the many posts he has had, he seems to like to criticize instead of compliment.

That's probably just me though.

As I said, the join date doesn't decide noob status.

The mentality does.

You just come across as somewhat of a noob to me. You don't have a bad case of it, just the trademark cockiness and defensiveness of one.

Like how I want to reverse engineer and u shot me down (along wih some other ppl)

Anyway nice job. But why switch from c++ to vb? vb isn't even a real language. But why put all those other "features". How does a html editor and a calculator help with fpi's? I can do start run calc for tht.

It may just be me, but I have this little voice inside my head that's telling me that reverse engineering a product isn't the same as trying to learn to program...especially when reverse engineering is against just about every software license I've seen except open source, which FPSC is not...

Quote: "Sure it dosn't, god forbid someone be here longer then you! (January of '05)"

And I've been here since October 2004. Not that much of a difference, but you sure notice the difference in our (apparent) maturity. I'd also like to point out that you yourself said you weren't here for awhile, lost your login details, and had to create a new account (not long ago). I'm guessing your just now really getting into the community.

Fair enough.. I made a personal attack and if the rules state I should be slapped or banned or whatever I'll accept the punishment... but what he wrote was completely unacceptable and I find it amazing that no-one said anything sooner... Plus he tried to justify his actions by saying it isn't swearing...

I'm with Thraxas on this. I personally think Xsnip3rX should be slapped purely because he is a pain in the backside.

I can't believe that somebody would have the guts to post a racial comment like that.

And people on this forum recently have gotten all worked up about the stupidest things.

Uh underside after your video series I seriously doubt anyone can learn self discipline from you, but more importantly this thread has been hijacked, I am on this thread because I want to know why FPI Scipted Editor V1.00 Beta doesn't work on this machine, could someone look at my previous post and let me know if they have any idea and please don't let this post be consumed by more irrelevent discussion as I would like a solution please

Thanks

the calc is good idea as it is sometimes used for calculations relating to positions on fpi scripts

on the bright side you'll never need to bump this thread as it seems plenty active, and on a further note i'd like to apologize to anyone i've offended, it's been a stressful week at work, but it gives me no right to take it out on people here, where i come to study, program and make friends, Sorry Crispex.
