Now I notice that there is a little problem.
I wanted to participate on this Model Comp, but unfortunately I'm away on holiday the next 2 weeks and away from Milkshape and Photoshop too

So it is possible that won't have enough time after that to finish my building. Maybe, I'll make the model in Blender, but then I'll have to learn how to UV Map in it. I'll try anyway.

So I apologize for that and I wish you all good holidays
Greetings, pigs can fly

Like it

TATBS 1.8 is now fully functional. Brilodis is having its districts extracted to Battle City. Krina and Karin are twice the size. And you’ll see 5 times as many breeds of monsters... It’s Kalspher V3.

About to work on mine right now.

EDIT: On second thought, I'm not entering until there are better prizes. Right now I'm gonna go program.

Its nto all about prizes. Its also about contributing to the community, hence why i donated my prize a few competitions ago to the next person.

Yeah, it's just that I am working really hard on this building model for something else, and I am debating with myself whether to give it away or not.

EDIT: Did I spell "whether" wrong? It looks so wierd...

its not too late, it ends september, but i do say this one hasn't been too popular. Maybe its too hard for the general member.

Thanks for the prize oakley.

Wow! It's going to be hard to compete with X Games and Duplex, but here is what I have so far. These buildings are based on brownstones that I saw on my trip to NYC a couple of months ago. Right now it is about 1,000 polygons too much, but I will fix that later. When I get Z Brush I will re release this with a norm. map. Here are the pics. C&C always welcome:

Yeah, I'll probably take all of the windows away and a few of the rails.

EDIT
Quote: "Let's get Model Pack 9 as a prize!

Well, I think I'm gonna enter."

Yeah. We should see if Rick will donate 1 model pack every comp. I e-mailed him last time so If someone else dosen't do it, I will.

Also, Tyrano, when are you going to release the community packs?

EDIT 2
Yeah, I just put the windows in because I didn't have a tex. yet and I wanted to show how the model will look.

EDIT 3 (jeez, that's alot of edits)
Here is the new and improved NYC Brownstone:

It looks great, but you sure it only uses one texture and is less than 3000 tris

@ tyrano:

I have no idea to see how many tris my model uses in Blender. How would I check this?

EDIT: On second thought, don't answer. I'll google.

Well I can't see tris in my modeler. but what i do is export it, open it in lithunwrap and triangulate. Then i can just look at the count only takes me like 30 secs.

Or i just model everything in quads, and then double the poly count
