Tell them that you feel they have a real lack of trust in you if they are going to check on what you're saying, and if they don't trust you then how are you supposed to trust them with stuff that is actually important.

Really, I think it's logical you make this seeing your circumstances, and the program works. If it's smart to use (now they'll definitely suspect something) is another thing. However, thumbs up for the program - it works!
