i was just wondering does anybody know a good drawing application for drawing sprites? i have to use paint right now but i know there are way better ones out there. does anyone know any or what do other people use? thanks

Corel Paint Shop Pro (affordable and very good)
Adobe Photoshop (overpriced IMHO, but so far in my travels it's the most powerful)

yep pub pro can easily do that. and it has a special feathering effect for importin gpic transperncy and a pic transparent exporter. along with an easy to do it web editor.

Photoshop is very good, but also 3D packages can be used to make sprites. I have used Anim8or many times to make sprites, and it's free.

inkscape is a vector illustrator, not a drawing program

learn blender, you will never regret it.
