Thanks for the Jack in the Box Rolfy I also have an idea of turning you mech bot into a smaller toy version. All I'll need to do then is add your spiders and I could call it the 'Rolfy Rumpus Room"!

Here's a screen shot of Chapter 1 (the hospital is Chapter 2) that takes place in a town. It's wip and needs stuff doing to it (like grunging up the path). Thanks to addictinit for his road pack.

Thanks Rob but I've tried it with fog and it looks naff, especially with things in the far distance which turn out white. I'll have a play around though.

Demo Available

I've decided to open up the demo to you guys (only a chosen few have played it first) to get some feedback.

http://www.madladdesigns.co.uk/fpsc/mine/heiscoming.rar (86mb). I would love to hear what you guys think. Remember, it is work in progress so some bits will be missing and stuff.

Enjoy.

Thanks. I'm particularly interested in game speed, how many FPS do you get? What are your machine specs? That sort of thing.

Specs:

Windows Vista Ultimate
512mb ram
Amd Athlon 64 processor 2800+ 1.81ghz
Geforce 5300

So yeah my computer sucks, bad!!

Sorry i cant play it. Stupid Vista wont ever work with phoenix. I hate not being able to play games just because they have phoenix. Thats the only thing i dont like about vista.

Here's yet another shot of the town, which uses about 98% of the entire map, and is coming along quite nicely.

Models worked fine (when I received the bridge texture lol!) I put them in, then took them out, then put them in again, then took.... I'm trying to find the right spot for them but they worked fine.

Thanks They are rolfy's trees / billboard trees which work fantastic in outdoor scenes (thanks rolfy).

Quote: "Played the demo, I didn't think it was bare."

Not sure what you mean here IWTG, do you mean there was nothing much to do (bare)? or you thought that there was plenty of scenery (not bare)? It was really a demo to check for frame rates as I didn't want to add more and more stuff if frame rates were unbearably slow.

It seems a few people are having issues with Phoenix Sentry. Is there a particular screen that shows when the error occurs?

I think it looked good, and that the framerate was good for my laptop. The desk was invisible though.

Well the floor at the first or second out stairs is missing and you can still use them and the room you get to is empty and missing ceiling blocks.

Ahh, the first staircase, the corridor above hasn't been done yet, there are bits missing, ignore that one.

Here's an overall view of the town (yes, bits are missing and yes, that's a maze in the center... don't ask...)

Am I giving too many screen shots?
