Count me in, I've got a pretty nice idea that fits very well with the theme.

By the way, does the restriction of 3 segments include mesh and texture variations too, or are we restricted to 3 segments without variations?

Cool, no restriction on mesh or texture, for example you can enter 1 door, 1 window and 1 room = 3 segments

Ok so we are a week in on the comp, there has been a great start with judges, competitors and prizes but we still need 3 backup judges and more people to enter in comp, so come on people step up and have a chance to win some ace prizes not to mention some good experience in custom segment editing!

I'll take a shot at this too, can't remember if I've actually gone through with a competition before, never found the time, but I need some textures for my game anyway so this may motivate me.

Any news on the release date of X10 then? Or is it just a 'When it comes out' deal?

No idea on date but winner will have a copy when comes out or get to be a beta tester and winner also gets to pick a prize on top of x10, I will email RickV about this to clear things up!

1 segment block limit so for example u can have 3 blocks, low, mid and top or even 3 doors as your entry!

From my under standing you can have three Segment entry's,
so i've dont an arched window,a cracked wall and floor for my entry/'s
And it looks like im the first valid entry, that is if this is valid?

nice entry addictinit but the room/wall & floor segments will count as 1 segment, 1 window + 1 room segment, you can do 1 more segment if you wish?

The window reminds me of the film amityville, so yeah I would say this is creepy, horror!

Do i do anything as a side judge? But anyways addictinit that is awesome!

Edit: Here is my Oppinion on its look:
It looks very creepy. I'm a big fan on the amityville horror, and this is captures it greatly. But just out of concern will this have a outer texture, e.g. outside segment?

You could get your judgment ready just in case also be good for C&C.

No, from what i seen it's only got 1 wall.

@ addictinit

You can add as many mesh's into one segment, add a wall mesh on the outer side and change texture!

Update on Segments-

I am alomst done with the segments that I'm creating, but I'm not too sure how to add meshes. If anybody could post some tips, that would be very appreciated.

But any mesh u build go into file/meshbank, also i recommend having a look at Lee's video tut witch can with download!

Also don't forget that any texture u do need _D2 on end

I have done three more versions of the mouth door segment I did,

The 1ST one I did was to make the 1st one bigger, now 3 levels high.
2ND, more polys same texture
3RD, even more polys same texture

ewll the teeth would probly be animated to move up when you walk next to it like an animated door

@Xgames: Why don't we add another week on to the dead-line so the more time people have to make and create their segments. As we only have one segment from a user.

If I was going to make a competition, I would make it at lease a 3 month one as many people don't have the time to create one in a month.

When i started this comp i told myself things are down in stone and i would not change anything but i must agree, this my need longer, so i would like to call a vote and ask you all to have an input!

A; don't change date
B; just one more week from end date
C; two weeks should do it from end date
D; one month from end date!
